How We Met
We met in March of 2016 through mutual friends on Josh’s rugby team at DePaul. Neither of us had any intention of liking each other, but fate had other plans. Just a few weeks after meeting, we felt a connection we couldn’t deny. Our first date was at Moody’s Pub on Broadway, tucked away on Chicago’s north side, and from that night on, we were inseparable. Five months into dating, we took a leap and moved in together—right around the same time we met Wrinkles, the dog that changed everything. From there, our journey was filled with milestones: finishing college side by side, navigating first jobs, making mistakes, achieving big dreams, and building a life filled with love, laughter, and a lot of dog cuddles. Together, we’ve experienced the highest highs and weathered the toughest lows. We’ve traveled to new places, eaten our way through every restaurant we could, spent summers on Madeline Island, and raised two incredible (and slightly chaotic) dogs in the city we love most. Through every challenge, every transformation, and every new chapter, our partnership has remained the one constant—rooted in love, growth, and unwavering support for one another. Of course, we have to mention Wrinkles—our pride and joy for eight wonderful years. She was the heart of our little family, the glue that held us together in tough times, and the best big sister to Rumpus. We lost her in May of 2023, and while we wish she could be here to celebrate with us, we know she’s wagging her Shar-Pei tail on the rainbow bridge, watching over us. This celebration is for her, too. We are so grateful to have spent almost a decade growing together, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you—the people who have been part of our journey.

There will be limited seating at tables and lots of standing room tables at the venue, we are providing some additional seating by the fire pits outside, but bring shoes that will be on the more comfortable side and dress for the November weather!

UBER TO ADDRESS: 12 S Michigan Ave (Main Entrance) CINDY'S VALET: 71 E Madison St (Valet Stand / Secondary Entrance) Valet is available via the Chicago Athletic Association hotel (valet stand located at our 71 E Madison St. entrance). Guests of Cindy's Events will be able to use Valet for a discounted $29 event rate for 0-4 hours. Please alert you guests to inform our serve staff that they are using valet. Guests will then be given a promo code, by serve staff during event, to be used upon Valet check out. PARKING GARAGE : 325 S Michigan Avenue - Grant Park South. Travel Note
UPON ARRIVING
The elevator to Cindy’s is just off the hotel's main entrance at 12 S Michigan Ave. After walking into the building, it is the third elevator on the right. In the event of a long line forming for the entrance to Cindy's there will be a host team member stationed near the elevator. Please do not wait in any line should there be one. Reference the event name to the host team to be escorted directly up to the rooftop upon arrival.

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
RSVP Deadlines If you know you won’t be able to attend, we’d really appreciate you letting us know by July 31 after receiving your Save the Date. Final RSVPs (yes or no) are due by September 15 after invites go out. Thank you so much for helping us plan—we can't wait to celebrate with you!
