Our Story!

- when we met -
I remember going to Nehemiah's 6th grade Study Hall class and taking pictures for yearbook and thinking "wow he's cute ;)". Although, what a scandal it would be to like a boy in a grade below you. Each middle school talent show, I would see Nehemiah get on stage and rap his original songs with tracks talking about Jesus and sure thought, wow, this guy is pretty fantastic.

Skipping ahead 3 years, COVID hit. With school moving from in-person, to fully remote, then to a hybrid back at school, we somehow, (by the divine nature and grace of God), were in the same small group in our hybrid choir class. We started talking January 11, 2021, and Elena haven't stopped yapping ever since.
- our dating era -
Nehemiah quickly became my best friend. A year and a half later, I had the pleasure of calling him my boyfriend. Our first date was on April 30, 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Two and a half sweet years dating until...
- He asked, I said yes yes yes! -
With the sweetest original song, Nehemiah asked me to be his wife on his birthday, October 27, 2024. What an honor and a dream come true. :)

Where is the wedding?
Answer
Elena's family's lodge is 2.5-3 hours north of Fort Collins, 45 minutes NW of Wheatland, WY. Please plan to leave a 30 minute buffer of time, due to traffic and mountain roads to make sure to be there before the ceremony starting at 2! Map to the local establishment Hubbard Mountain Cupboard, and there will be signs posted from there! 1825 Cottonwood Park Rd, Wheatland, WY 82201

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
Please RSVP as soon as possible, so that we can guarantee you (and the guests included on your invitation) a spot at the wedding! Head over to our "RSVP" section to let us know if we'll be able to see you there, and if there are technical difficulties please reach out to Nehemiah or Elena!

Will dinner be provided?
Answer
Yes! We will serve appetizers and mocktails after the ceremony and serve dinner around 4:00pm.

Is this a dry wedding?
Answer
Yes! We’ve decided to have a dry wedding to create an atmosphere where everyone of all ages can fully enjoy the celebration, connect with one another, and focus on the love and joy of the day. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Is the ceremony and reception at the same place?
Answer
Yes! Although they are on the same property, be prepared for a short walk from the grassy meadow to the lodge -- feel free to wear comfortable kicks, or cowboy boots!

What should I wear?
Answer
Our theme is "Rustic Mountain Garden Party" for our celebration! Feel free to embrace garden chic or mountain casual, or even a sun hat if that's your vibe! Since we’ll be spending time outdoors with a short walk between the ceremony and reception, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes or boots to keep you dancing and celebrating all day long. We can’t wait to see you there!

Can I bring a date?

Due to the delicate nature of this mountain property, we are doing our best to keep numbers appropriate. Please only bring who is listed on your invitation. That being said -- if we have overlooked a significant other (who is not already on the invite), or you are in need of a special accommodation, please reach out to Nehemiah or Elena so that we can make this trip wonderful for you!

Are kids welcome?

Absolutely! We love your kids and would love to help make our day a mountain adventure for them, too. On the other hand -- if the drive seems too far for your kiddos -- we understand if you want to book a sitter and enjoy a date night with us!
