We met on a dating site called Hinge. There tagline is "The app meant to be deleted". In other words, once you find your person you no longer need the app. We initially bonded over our disgust of grits (yuck) and our love for pets (team dogs) We quickly realized that we are driven individuals who values family and home cooking over fast food. Our love for travel made the 45 min distance between us a breeze. The 1st date was at Logan's roadhouse. Side note: Don't let social media fool you- it's not about the type of restaurant, it's all about the company you entertain and their character. Anywho, after a few dates I decided to cook for him being that we are both foodies. The menu consist of roast, collard greens and yellow rice. I use smoked turkey to add favor to my greens. Gave his dog (Persephone, Per for short) the bone. Needless to say, they've both been hooked since. Lol
