Some mutual friends had a recurring volleyball game that sometimes traveled to include different groups. One of the nights the group traveled to Plymouth and Faith was able to join. After splitting up teams we ended up on the same team. Innocuous at the time we both continued on our separate paths unbeknownst to us they would cross many times over in the future.

Over the course of the next 4 years, our paths continued to cross. From the Fourth of July celebrations to random almost encounters at the gas station, our lives started to intertwine. Winter of 2018, we started seeing and talking to each other on a regular basis. Since then, we have had countless adventures together. Kayaking, hiking challenges, floats trips, camping, picnics, road trips, climbing waterfalls, concert, music festivals, Christmas on the beach, and our greatest adventure thus far, having E. We have been by each others side for both triumphs of success and the despair of many losses. Through it all, the highs and the lows, our relationship only grew stronger, finding ourselves in 2023...

After making elaborate plans that ended up not working several times I (Nathan) had enough. Faith was getting ready to shower I raced through the house and caught her and asked. I was all disheveled from having been home sick from work that day and likely looked like a crazy man. It turned out the most elaborate plan in the world could not have created such a wonderful moment and memory.

Nate had been at home sick. I had a long, rough day at work and came home in a grumpy mood. I decided I was over the day and I was just going to hibernate in bed. Nate encouraged me to get out of bed and we would make it a better day. Of course I ignored him. He kept telling me to get out of bed or to at least just stand up. It was a little weird, but I didn't really think anything of it. He left the room and that is when I decided he was right, if I got up, I could still have a good evening. I went into the bathroom to take a shower and that is when Nate caught me by surprise and pulled out a ring. He told me that he had made previous plans to ask, but it kept not working out and that he wanted to be with me even in our not perfect, disheveled moments. Of course I said yes.
