In 2016, two Midwest cornfield-crossed lovers met in college in St. Louis, and after that, there was no doubt that we would be together. No matter the distance, no matter the hardship, our love grew through art, food, and just some good ol' silly goofiness. After 2 years, we had 2 pets. After 3 years, we moved in together. After 4 years, we had lived in 3 different states. After 6 years, we got engaged. After 7 years, we got married. After 7 years and 8 months, we shared a last name. 8 years of a relationship is not an easy thing to summarize, but if you're here, you already know most of the story.
We got married at Wilder Park in Elmhurst, IL in a ceremony with immediate family members. It was a beautiful rainy day that kicked off with a gathering of mini golf and food. As we arrived to the park, it had stopped raining and warmed up. As we said "I do", the sun came out, giving "golden hour" a new meaning.
We invite our friends and family to join us to celebrate our first year of marriage in one of our favorite places in the city we call home. Sharing food and drink has always been our way of expressing love and celebrating life. It feels nothing shy of perfect to extend our love language to the community who has loved and supported us individually and as a couple through out our lives. Thank you for being a part of our story. Cheers!
