I first heard of Keegan when he offered a free TV to our friend Sean, and Sean knew I was in the market for just such a thing. After weeks of waiting, Keegan was finally coming back to Virginia after a long stint visiting home in Missouri. I invited Keegan to the Halloween party my roommate Stephanie and I were planning. Of course, he showed up in scrubs not realizing that he was in an apartment full of nurses. We hit it off and exchanged social medias.

The plan was to go the Truman Waterfront so that Cherie, Keegan’s mom, could appreciate a Key West sunset and then a nice dinner afterwords. Not knowing the real plan, I was moving at a snail’s pace and causing poor Keegan anxiety. We went to the Truman Waterfront and found the perfect spot to watch the sunset from on a bench. Cherie suggested that Keegan and I go get our photo with the sunset in the background. Keegan took a few seconds longer than I did to get up and I had this feeling that he was about to propose. Giddy and excited, we take a few photos and are enjoying the sunset, then, Keegan gets down on one knee. He asks “will you marry me” and the rest is history. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the Lake of the Ozarks!
