Its going to be chilly in the evening so wear layers and appropriate footwear to wooded areas. Evening gown and hiking boots? Overalls and a mink? All hunter plaid? Nothing is too over the top or down to earth.

The Norwich Inn is the quintessential Vermont Inn and a really great option because it is very close to the venue and walking distance to the shuttle pick up point. Rooms range from $379-$800 per night. We have rooms blocked under Heyl but they are only held through July 11th so book early!

The Hotel Coolidge is a hotel with a lot of character located in downtown White River Jct. You will be within walking distance to amazing restaurants and shops and it is located across the street from the Amtrak station! It is a budget friendly option with rooms ranging from $149-$209 per night. It is about a 15 min drive from the shuttle pickup. Book directly with them and say you are with the Heyl or Sweat party and you'll receive a discount on your room.

If you are looking for the fanciest option in the area than we suggest the Hanover Inn. Located in the center of Dartmouth College this luxury hotel features an amazing restaurant and bar and is walking distance to everything in Hanover. Book early as this is a very busy weekend for them. You will be 10 mins drive from the parking lot where the shuttle will pick people up.

Amtrak
Amtrak drops off in downtown WRJ and has a daily train to WRJ from NYC.

Dartmouth Coach
Dartmouth Coach is a wonderful bus company that has several buses from Boston and NYC daily. It is faster ride than the train and the busses are clean and offer snacks and movies.

Tuckerbox (Restaurant)
This is one of our absolutely favorite restaurants in the Upper Valley! They are open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Reservations recommended.
Elixir (Restaurant)
This is a really delicious spot for dinner and cocktails located in WRJ, VT. Reservations recommended.
Pine (Restaurant)
This is a delicious upscale restaurant located in the Hanover Inn. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations recommended.
Lou's Restaurant & Bakery
Great old school diner in Hanover,NH. Perfect for breakfast and lunch. Be prepared to wait, they don't take reservations.
Four Aces Diner
Super kitschy 50's style diner known for their breakfast, brunch and lunch. Be prepared to wait as it is a very popular spot.
Local Hiking
This is a really special time to be outside in the Upper Valley. Use this website to find gorgeous hikes all over the Upper Valley. Some of favorites are Gile Mountain, Mt Cardigan, Mink Brook Nature Reserve & Happy Hill/Appalachian Trail/Cossingham rd. loop
Hood Museum of Art
The Hood Museum of Art is located in Hanover, NH. It is a very impressive art collection for a small town.
Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park
This is one of Nancy's favorite spots in the Upper Valley. Former summer home and studio of Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Enjoy exploring the grounds where you will find beautiful gardens and many of his bronze statues and reliefs.
VINS Nature Center
VINS nature center is a rehabilitation center for birds and has a beautiful canopy walk and nature trails.
Dan & Whit's General Store (Shopping)
For the quintessential Vermont country store experience, check out Dan & Whit's in downtown Norwich. There motto is "If we don't have it, you don't need it!".

I would be remiss not to recommend you check out my store while you're in town! Located inside the Tip Top Building, this is the perfect spot to add to your wedding outfit (and show the bride some love).
