Ironically, Omar happened to be in Boston for a Pearl Jam concert at Fenway Park right around the time we connected, so we’ve officially decided that fate had great taste in music. What started as messages and phone calls quickly turned into plane tickets and weekend visits between cities. For 16 months, we lived out of suitcases, traveled back and forth between Boston and Dallas, and fell in love somewhere between airport terminals and late-night conversations. Nadia is a big-hearted planner, lifelong learner, and professional people-connector (she recently completed her doctorate, a journey that taught her a lot about patience, perseverance, and community). She runs her own consulting practice helping leaders and organizations grow, co-hosts a podcast about leadership and life, and finds great joy in hikes and travel adventures. Omar is a finance manager by day and a quiet creative at heart. He loves reading, music and has played several instruments over the years (Nadia recently surprised him with an electric guitar so he can get back into it 🎸). He also has a passion for history, cars, legos, and watches, and most importantly, holds his family and faith close as they ground him and guide how he moves through the world. Somewhere between flights, FaceTime calls, and shared dreams, we realized we were building something special. Omar brought calm and steadiness into Nadia’s world. Nadia brought warmth and energy into Omar’s. Together, we found home. We’re so grateful for the village that surrounds us and for each of you who are part of our story. Thank you for celebrating love with us. This chapter already feels magical, and we’re so happy you’re here. 💕
We celebrated our Nikkah (pronounced nik-ah), the Islamic marriage ceremony, on January 18, 2026 in an intimate gathering with family. Rooted in prayer and blessings, it marked the true beginning of our marriage and was deeply meaningful to us. On our May 2 reception, we’re bringing together two cherished Pakistani traditions: the Mehndi and the Shaadi, into one joyful celebration we’re calling a "Shendi!" The Mehndi is a vibrant gathering filled with color, music, henna, and performances, symbolizing joy and the coming together of loved ones. The Shaadi is the main wedding celebration, featuring the couple’s entrance, family traditions, dinner, and lots of dancing. By blending these traditions into one special evening, we hope to honor our heritage while welcoming all of our guests to celebrate alongside us. We can’t wait to share this meaningful and joyful day with you. 💛

We would love that! South Asian clothing is vibrant, elegant, and fun to wear--and there are plenty of places in the U.S. where you can easily shop online. Here are some great, guest-friendly options (for both women and men): https://rubinascollection.com https://www.786shop.com/ https://www.eastavenuenj.com https://www.andaazfashion.com https://www.stringnthread.com https://www.lashkaraa.com/ Believe it or not; we've been told that you can even find outfits on Amazon, Nordstrom, and Etsy! Tips: *Look for keywords like ready-to-wear or ready to ship to avoid long tailoring times. *For women, styles like anarkalis, lehengas, and shararas are all perfect for this type of celebration. *For men, a kurta with or without a vest is an easy, polished choice. *Review the sizing and shipping options in great detail! Wear what makes you feel festive and comfortable! We’re just so excited to celebrate with you! -----------------------------
Due to limited venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating together! -----------------------------

Lots of shopping and restaurants!

One of our favorite restaurants (with a spectacular view!)
Salem, Massachusetts is especially fun to visit in May, when the city comes alive with spring weather, blooming gardens, and lively waterfront views. It’s the perfect time to explore its rich history—from the Salem Witch Trials to maritime heritage—without the large Halloween crowds. Visitors can enjoy charming streets, unique shops, historic sites, and scenic harbor walks all in one vibrant coastal town.
Woodman's of Essex is famously known as a filming location for the Adam Sandler film Grown Ups. The restaurant was used for a family dinner scene where the characters visited the iconic clam shack.
