Nadia & Steve met online back in March of 2022. They started texting and instantly clicked! Due to both of their extremely busy schedules, they weren't able to schedule their first date until a week out after they started talking. This checks out as we all know trying to schedule something with either of them is always a task! They finally went on their first date at Cooper's Hawk and spent the next 6 hours together. This was the most incredible first date experience either of them had ever had and was a day that changed both of their lives forever. This life altering first date happened on March 26th, 2022. Nadia and Steve are thrilled to celebrate their wedding day with you exactly 4 years later on March 26th, 2026!
If you haven't heard the story already, Steve managed to pull off the most beautiful proposal in existence! Nadia & Steve went on a trip to Italy (FINALLY) in May 2025. Steve had to really redeem himself on this trip since they missed their last Italy trip due to his passport being too close to expiring. He planned this entire trip and Nadia got to show up as the passenger princess. The couple spent the day in Amalfi, Italy exploring, eating, and shopping! The beginning of the day was quite the fiasco. The two stopped for lunch and Steve was busy on his phone texting everyone about the proposal. Nadia (who had no idea this was happening) yelled at Steve to pick something to eat and stop messing with his phone. In a rushed panic Steve picked "pizza Romano" without reading what was on it. Turns out this is an anchovy pizza!! We all know Steve does not throw away food...so he obviously ate it! He was nauseous the entire time he ate the pizza and was disgusted with each bite. After lunch they went to the Grotta dello Smeraldo via boat and Steve got seasick on the way back. During all of this Steve was also texted by the skipper of their proposal boat that he wasn't able to make it and someone else would be driving the boat that Steve had carefully curated for the night. Despite the chaos, Nadia & Steve made it to the dock for what Nadia thought was going to be a small sunset booze cruise. This is something that Nadia & Steve love to do on each trip they take so Nadia thought nothing of it. Steve told the skipper to lie to Nadia and tell her the other couple that was supposed to go with them canceled. Nadia was thrilled to hear this and thought their luck was finally turning around after a day full of chaos! Steve had the skipper drive them down the Amalfi coast. On their way out towards Positano a pod of dolphins and baby dolphins surrounded the boat and started doing flips into the air! Steve asked the skipper how often this happens to which the skipper replied "never". This was just the start of their magical evening. The boat finally reached the end of its trek and Nadia began taking pictures of the Amalfi coast from the boat. Steve said he wanted to take some drone pictures...Nadia had no idea he had an engagement ring hiding in the drone bag! The skipper told Nadia to turn around and stand up so he could take a picture of the couple. Steve secretly had the skipper recording a video. The boat was rocking like crazy from the waves and the two almost went overboard multiple times. They took their "picture" then Steve got down on one knee and asked Nadia to marry him. She was absolutely shocked and had no idea this was happening! If you watch the proposal video you can hear Nadia excitedly saying "WHAT THE HELL!" repeatedly. The happy couple made it back to shore and headed back to their hotel with a bottle of wine to call their family and friends to share the great news. The entire experience was incredible and Steve really redeemed himself on this trip to Italy! Nadia & Steve have been having the best time planning their wedding and cannot wait to celebrate with their loved ones on March 26th, 2026. They look forward to seeing you all for an adventure in the desert of Utah on their wedding day! Prego! š¤š¼

Officiant
Alex is Nadia's cousin but they are as close as siblings! They have a mutual love for playing board games and eating too many Wendyās chicken nuggets. Nadia was the officiant of Alex and Lindsay's wedding so it is only fitting that the roles reverse! Choosing Alex to be the officiant was one of the easiest decisions of the wedding planning process. Nadia and Steve are so excited to have the wedding ceremony officiated by Alex and know he will do an amazing job!
Matron of Honor
Anna is Nadia's cousin and best friend all built into one person! They spend hours talking/laughing on the phone and shopping. Although they don't live close to one another, Anna and Nadia always find a way to keep their friendship strong. Whenever they get the chance to be together they love going out to dinner and attending multiple escape rooms in one night! The two are famous for ordering multiple desserts at dinner and eating most of them!
Matron of Honor
Toni is one of Nadia's best friends from college. They met because Nadia was blasting music in the Founders dorm at Lewis University and Toni lived on the same floor (and wanted to know who was being so loud and obnoxious). They have been inseparable ever since! They love taking weekend girls trips and get along like sisters. Toni and Nadia share a mutual love for donuts and McDonalds and love spending hours shopping, watching movies, and quoting Bridesmaids together!
Bridesmaid
Anna (Sister Goopy) is Nadiaās sister in law and a bridesmaid in the wedding. They love bonding over their cats and mutual love of lulu lemon. Anna is famous for giving the best back scratches and always carrying snacks so Nadia is never hangry!
Bridesman
Bailey (Magoops) is Nadiaās little brother and will be a bridesman in the wedding! The two have a mutual love for Taco Bell and love FaceTiming each other so they can put their cats on the screen for 90% of each call. Nadia was the best woman in Baileyās wedding and is so excited to make him stand with the girls on this one! š
Bridesmaid
Brooke is one of Nadia's best friends from pharmacy school! They met during undergrad at Lewis University and have been friends ever since. Brooke and Nadia love to spend hours in Homegoods together or browsing through the farmers market. Brooke is one of Nadia's go to travel companionsā¦theyāve been to 2 foreign countries and multiple states together!
Bridesmaid
Lindsay is married to Nadia's cousin Alex but is basically like a sister to Nadia. The two became close when Nadia lived with them during her pharmacy school rotations downtown Chicago. They spent countless nights watching SVU, laughing on the couch, and drinking Josh wine. Everyone thinks Nadia and Lindsay look like sisters and are shocked when they find out that Nadia is actually related to Alex!
Bridesmaid
Maria is Nadia's soon to be sister in law! Maria has welcomed Nadia into the Salazar family since day one. They instantly bonded over their mutual love of food and wine. The two love to have girls nights and can spend hours sitting at any restaurant talking and laughing together! Getting Maria as a sister is one of the biggest perks of marrying Steve!
Bridesmaid
Sara is one of Nadia's best friends from pharmacy school! They met during undergrad at Lewis University and worked at the same pharmacy throughout pharmacy school. The two share a love for coffee & the farmers market and love to make fun of each other. If you can't find them...odds are they are spending hours at Costco together!
Bridesmaid
Taylor and Nadia met while working together at Osco Pharmacy! They share a love for Coopers Hawk, Homegoods, and Starbucks. Taylor is one of Nadia's best friends and is a go to travel companion since they always have such a great time on vacations together. Taylor and Nadia have been through so many of lifeās ups and downs together and Nadia would be lost without Taylorās love and support!
Best Man
My Big Dog, Delks. Delks and I technically met in high school as baseball rivals and then for real when I took my visit to Aurora University, he was my tour guide. Almost 20 years later we became teammates, then roommates, then best friends. Heās never let me down and never will, weāve been through some of the highest highs and lowest lows together. People may call us crazy especially when together, but thereās no one else Iād rather have standing up next to me. Chris and I are the only 2 who have been to all 15 golf trips in a row and canāt wait for what comes in the next 15. I sent both Chrisā the same Instagram video a little over a year ago, about the 5 different types of people you want in your corner for life, most people are lucky to have 1 friend who checks 3 of the 5 boxes, each of my guys check all 5. Iāll never forget that video or their responses when I sent it to them.
Best Man
Rice and I met freshmen year of high school and instantly hit it off, if we werenāt making jackass videos or eating his parents (my 2nd parents Annette and Donald) out of house and home, we were bowling and golfing in all our free time. Pretty sure I basically lived there for a couple summers because I had my own bedroom too. As the years went on, Rice and I never drifted apart even when life would try to get in the way, even if itās been months since we last saw each other we hop right back into best friends while snowmobiling and blacking out at Boat Bash, now weāre mature adults enjoying a nice bourbon or whiskey when we see each other. Lol hard to say that without laughing. We are each MUSH Fantasy Football players and have arguably the worst luck possible in our league that weāve had for 10+ years.
Groomsman
Shinebox Alex, what can I say. Alex and I met at Aurora University where we immediately started taking advantage of the system becoming Dunham Scholars and Presidents/Vice Presidents of multiple clubs. I played baseball and him golf, Alex would constantly show up late for class or not at all, somehow BSāing the greatest excuses and answers while getting straight Aāsā¦it infuriated the teachers and cracked me up. As life went on we took separate roads in business but always tried to include one another, then when the world shut down during the Covid, Alex took me into his home when I was a battered puppy who felt like I had no home. We spent every day together during quarantine playing virtual poker, making each other āromantic dinners,ā and binge watching Netflix. We became incredibly close during that time and Iāll never forget it!
Groomsman
DARKNESSES! Cameron and I met in kindergarten/Cub Scouts way back when in GH. Cam and I stayed friends throughout our entire childhood, from throwing rocks at Grisch, into high school where we started drinking, through college where he visited The Baseball House quite often, to now as adults. We donāt get to see each other as much as we would like these days, but tis life. Iāll never forget some of the camping trips we took back in the day and canāt wait until we plan a few more! āWhatās zeese?!ā
Groomsman
Chris is the older brother I never had, we were born exactly 2 years and 41 minutes apart. Our dadās are twins and we spent almost every weekend together growing up. We would constantly beg and convince our parents for sleepovers, make idiotic videos, play ping-pong, fix the fascia full of bees, get green knees, dominate mini golf, design golf courses on the iMac, freeze when playing pond hockey, get lost on 50 mile bike rides, and learn how to play beer pong together. As we grew older and be became adults, we never grew too far apart, constantly golfing, playing volleyball at Suzyās, and being the ultimate Bags Teammates. Itās really not even fair. We have always been hyper competitive and Iām really hoping by the time you read this, my golf handicap is lower than his š
Groomsman
Jeff is my baby brother at 6 years younger than me. Iād like to hope he looked up to me at some point when we were growing up, I think I slightly rubbed off on him since he played all the same sports, at the same positions, with the same numbers as me⦠To this day, I still say he had better stuff than me on the pitching mound, hate to see it. As kids, I can only imagine how much we annoyed our parents, 3 crazy boys in the same house along with a dog and my š¦ dad had to absolutely drive my š§ mom insane. And I wouldnāt trade those days for the world. For the most part, Iāve always tried to lead by example and toughen him up as the older brother, maybe even going a little overboard from time to timeā¦but as weāve grown into men, our relationship grew stronger and heās taken the reins as a 1st to be a husband and father, teaching me and taking the lead into next stages of life and even granting me the honor of being The Godfather to his first born son, Jackson. I really couldnāt be more proud of my baby brother.
Groomsman
ES TEX MEX! Jesse and I met in 6th grade, in line, in gym class when I started making idiotic Sloth Baby Ruth impersonations from The Goonies. Not sure if he thought I was funny or scared that I was a psycho, regardless we became great friends and I vividly remember riding my bike over towards his house and Oman Park so we could play domination and make our jackass videosā¦still pissed his Milk Challenge isnāt on YouTube anymore. Jesse lives right by my parents these days and every time we get together itās like a minute hasnāt even gone by, we go right back into catching up and ripping on each other, knowing wholeheartedly the other is always there if stuff ever really goes down.
Usher
Degen as I call him, has been by side for over 15 years. Nick is a goofy som B and I wouldnāt have it any other way. We met in college and got extremely close in my final two years at AU. We have always had an interesting relationship where we make fun of each other nonstop, but with something real happens, we are each one of the first called, and we answer that call.
Groomsman
Rob and I met 30 years ago and played baseball and football together growing up. We would always ride our bikes to each otherās house, and he had the perfect set up for summer sleepovers, our idiotic covert āmissionsā break house lights, and our infamous GH Fest Parties. His mom Sandy would drive us around in their Purple Ford Econoline Van as we would constantly be up to our tomfoolery! Itās been a hell of a ride which included throwing hotdogs at Melvinās, playing Fugitive, and smashing sandwiches on Beymerās headā¦šŗšø

Gangrene Grischā¦what a character. I met Grisch around 30 years ago with Cam at Cub Scouts. This goofy bastard has been there through thick and thin for me and, I hope Iāve been there for him too. If he wasnāt reading Star Wars books he was pounding Baconaters in our gauntlets, no onions! Grisch is a world traveler these days, he and I always seem to grab each other a little trinket from almost every trip, whether itās big or small there is always a funny story attached to it! Quick throw rocks and sand on it!
Usher
Crust Bucket Tyler. Tyler and I met a little over 5 years ago when I recruited him to come work with us and head up the internship program. Our work friendship quickly turned into a friendship, friendship. Although Tyler is 11 years younger than me, I have almost always seen him as older and more mature. I can honestly say I never expected us to be as close as we are now, but when life shifted for both of us, he asked if I wanted to try and find a house to rent with him and his now wife Emily. I didnāt know if it would be smart or feasible, but we found a townhouse in Aurora and the rest is history. Fun Fact, Nadia and I actually met the same week Tyler, Emily, and I moved in together! Years later I was Tylerās Best Man in 2024 when he married Emily, weāre long overdue for another game night!
