FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love and cherish all of the little ones in our lives, but unless otherwise specified, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding and helping us create a relaxed atmosphere on our special day. 💓

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be semi-formal with a relaxed Texas twist. For the ladies, flowy or cocktail-style dresses (think sundresses, maxis, or jumpsuits). For the gentlemen, a button-up with jeans or a nice polo works perfectly. Our wedding colors are sage green and dusty blue with pops of wildflower colors. We welcome guests to wear these shades, black, or anything you feel beautiful in. We kindly ask that guests just avoid white, off-white, or similar shades.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance so that we can inform the caterer.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We love love, and we've included significant others and others where possible (even if we haven't met them yet). To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, invitations will specify exactly who is invited, whether that's just you, you + a guest, etc. Thank you for understanding as we keep our celebration intimate!

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

We're prepared for a little Texas weather! The chapel and barn keep us covered for the ceremony and reception. Cocktail hour is planned outside, but if it rains, we'll bring the party indoors. Consider bringing an umbrella for the stroll between the chapel and barn just in case!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the travel page on our website for recommendations.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We reserved a hotel block at Best Western Plus Cutting Horse under the name Samek wedding. We do have another exciting option: three adjacent tree houses near our venue that can collectively accommodate up to 26 people. If you're interested in staying at these unique accommodations, please contact us.

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

For personalized assistance, please reach out directly to the bride or groom. We're happy to help answer any questions you may have.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will provide an open bar featuring complimentary drinks for all our guests throughout the wedding celebration. While gratuities are appreciated, tipping is entirely optional.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue by 4:15 PM as the ceremony will begin at 4:30. This will give you ample time to find your seat, check in with ushers, and get comfortable before our ceremony begins.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! You can find all the details on the Registry page of our website!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, parking is conveniently available at our venue. The gravel lot offers easy access, with a short walk to the ceremony location. If you require special accommodations for mobility needs, please contact us to ensure your comfort and accessibility.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Absolutely! We want everyone to have opportunities to snap their own memories, and we'll have designated times during the day where guest photos are encouraged. That being said, we have a professional photographer and videographer capturing everything throughout the day, and we want to make sure their shots aren't ruined by phones in the air. Please be present and enjoy the moment during the ceremony. We'll have reminders of when it's the perfect time to pull your phones back out!

Question

How should I RSVP?

Answer

To RSVP, go to the RSVP page on this website or reach out to us directly if you are having trouble. Please submit your RSVP by March 13th so that we can plan accordingly! We will need to provide vendors a final headcount and ensure that there is enough food and seating for everybody.
