- AIRPORT: Newark is great for all international and domestic arrivals/departures. - DISTANCE: Jersey/EWR is further from the city (more traffic), but cheaper to fly. 40-50 minutes from the city on average. - TRANSPORTATION: we don’t recommend renting a car. Uber is the best option. Parking and tolls are much more expensive than uber.

Travel Note
*If you DON’T have a car*: - Uber and Lyft are typically the best ways to get around. - Subways are okay, but typically we stay above ground. It ultimately depends on the area you’re in and the line that you take of the level of safety. - MTA and AMTRAK trains are great if you’re traveling to/from Grand Central or Penn Station. Downloading the app(s) are best to see train times, gates, and make ticket purchases. *If you DO have a car*: - Download the app”SpotHero”. This makes it easy and less expensive to find parking around the city. - There are plenty of parking garages and parking lots around the city- don’t ever plan to find parking on the streets, it’s very rare.
Pebble bar is one of the hidden gems in NYC. No reservations needed for the 2nd floor bar. Reservations needed for seated dinner on the 3rd floor. Fun Fact: Top floor known for being “Johnny Carson’s bar” - Johnny had a private back entrance through the bar, a feature still existing today.
Seaport district is a historic area of NYC. You can find parks, market place, and a great view of the Brooklyn bridge. Also make sure to visit *Van Leeuwen Ice Cream*!
Wear your Sunday best—on a Saturday! Think casual, but dressy, and don’t forget comfortable shoes for a little wandering around the museum. Bring a jacket, too—the weather could be anywhere from 62°F and overcast to 72°F and sunny. Since we’re right on the Hudson, a light breeze is always possible.
There is no transportation provided. Guests are welcome to Uber or feel free to walk the 1 mile to the reception. The path(s) to the reception is in a safe area. Feel free to share Ubers with other family and friends!
Due to limited seating, we kindly ask that the guest list reflect the number of attendees on your RSVP. The ceremony and reception site are not very kid-friendly. Thank you for understanding!
