Landon and Dakota's story started through music, meeting through a high school friend that played music with Dakota and was also Landon's cousin they were introduced. They played music together not knowing that it would ultimately change the course of their entire lives. Distance didn’t slow things down. As Landon returned to Texas they stayed in touch, and when they were finally able to spend more time together, it became clear how natural everything felt. Being together was easy, unforced, steady, and deeply comfortable. Though long distance has been one of their greatest challenges, it also revealed the depth of their commitment. Landon has never hesitated to make the drive, no matter how tired he is, always finding a way to show up and make sure Dakota knows how deeply she is loved. What Dakota admires most about Landon is how he carries himself and how deeply he notices people, often seeing things in others that they don’t see in themselves. He has a natural instinct to care for others and a heart far bigger than he gives himself credit for. Landon admires Dakota’s unwavering effort, her unconditional love, and the way she pursues her goals while fully showing up for their relationship. He sees her as loving, grounded in her values, and someone who brings warmth wherever she goes. Landon proposed at Big Cedar in front of the chapel puling off a near-impossible surprise (including tight jeans hiding a ring box Dakota somehow didn’t notice and her brother and best friend not so quietly hiding in the woods to capture the moment) Jumping through a lot of behind the scenes obstacles Landon made it happen and the moment was perfect. They are excited to begin this next chapter together, grateful for a love built on commitment, faith and choosing each other every single day.
