I first saw Morolake once or twice back in Unilag—from quite a distance. Nothing serious, just passing moments. Then we met again at LoveSeal Church, where we both joined in 2021. But even then, we never spoke. It wasn’t until early 2024 that we exchanged our first words—and even that was just a polite greeting during a committee meeting. She happened to be one of the coordinators. As for wooing her… let me be hones: It was God. She says she loves the way I think and speak, and while good conversation is great, that alone wouldn’t have done it. What really stood out was how we kept discovering these unusual similarities between us—little things that just aligned so perfectly, it felt almost too precise to be coincidence. We would literally scream in amazement when we discovered another one. It became our thing—we started counting them. That’s when we both knew: this wasn’t random. This was divine. I was led first—and with each step, I felt God’s peace. I proposed on April 10th, 2025, a day I’ll never forget. And now, I’m just grateful—grateful for the journey, grateful for the woman I get to call my wife, and grateful for the God who wrote this love story better than I ever could have imagined.
We first met at LoveSeal Church—or at least, that’s how I remember it. Interestingly, Philip says he had seen me back in Unilag, but I could have sworn I hadn’t noticed him until 2024, even though we had both been attending LoveSeal since 2021. I can’t tell you exactly when we had our first conversation—no defining moment, no dramatic beginning. But once we started talking, I found myself drawn in. The way he thinks, the way he speaks—it wasn’t loud or flashy. It was steady, sincere, and meaningful. And something in me knew: this was different. Philip is an interesting and focused young man, and his love for God shines through everything he does. He is principled, hardworking, and carries a quiet strength that I deeply admire. There’s a calm to him, a certainty in his purpose, and a heart fully surrendered to God. This journey has been such a gift, and we are so grateful for the people God used to bring us here. To our spiritual parents, Pastor Thompson and Pastor Dupe Ehima, thank you for your covering and wisdom. We also deeply appreciate Pastor Dayo Olawuni and Pastor Dayo Mustapha for your love, prayers, and encouragement. As we count down to our big day, I’m filled with peace, joy, and gratitude—and I can’t wait to walk into this next chapter with Temitope, surrounded by the people we love.
