How does anyone meet these days? Facebook Dating was the absolute last resort for love when Andrew and I both swiped right on each other. He sent the first message, I responded, and soon we were wrapped up in such a deep connection. All of a sudden, the phrase "You'll know when the time is right!" finally made sense. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I had found the one. For a few weeks, I shared laughs with my coworkers about how long it would take for us to get married. Little did I know that in just eight short months, he would be on one knee, and I would be saying the easiest "YES!" of my life!
On our very first date, we went to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. When I met him at the door, he pulled out a bouquet of roses from behind his back. I smiled and thought, "How sweet!" It was late at night, and it was a last-minute decision to meet up for dinner. We were seated at our table, and I was able to look into his eyes. Andrew has the most beautiful big blue eyes, and I instantly felt at peace sitting across the table from him. We ate, talked, and enjoyed each other’s company for a solid two and a half hours before we said our goodbyes. Fast forward eight months, and my best friend Casey and her husband set up a double date with Andrew and me. We had been talking about wanting to go back to Cheddar's because the food was so good! We met up at Cheddar's and had the best time. When we walked outside to the parking lot, there was a sign in the back of my parents' F-350 that said, "Marry me?" It took me what felt like an eternity to figure out what was going on. I turned around to find Andrew down on one knee, asking me to be his wife. The tears were already flowing by that point, so I just nodded my head until I could finally say the word, "Yes!" It meant the world to me that my mom and some of my best friends were there to celebrate such a special moment with us. Later, when I asked him why he picked the Cheddar’s parking lot, he said, "That’s where we first met, so it was special to me." Since the beginning, our relationship has been nothing but special moments, and I can’t wait to experience a lifetime of them together.
