How We Met
T'was the evening of the second day of Illfest & the wubs were infecting the parking lot. Matt was double checking his pockets as he was walking up the hill towards the entrance of the festival. Vanessa was taking her sweet time in her car reapplying her lip gloss & buckling her 9 inch platform boots. The omnipresent quantum gnomes knew they had to intervene! For the lovers MUST meet today! And fast! Once at the security check point, Matt realized his ear protection was missing... Interesting... By the time he hiked back across the hill, back to his car, retrieved the mysterious earbud case & was making his way back over the hill... Did he cross paths with Vanessa who was trying to calculate her descent. "Yoo-hoo!" Vanessa called to Matt fluttering her fingers. She blushed once the handsome man turned to her. Matt saw the beautiful woman & in disbelief looked around to figure out whom she was speaking to. "Can you please help me down this hill" She cooed. With fire in his eyes he rushed over to her, "Yes ma'am!" They took each other in a rather close embrace & became engrossed in various topics of conversation as they entered the festival arm in arm. "HEY! YOU GUYS ARE A CUTE COUPLE! YOU WANNA GET MARRIED?!" A Voice boomed over the speakers. A random small chapel stood right at the entrance housing a host wearing a Hawaiian shirt with shaggy hair. Matt looked at Vanessa. Vanessa looked at Matt. They exchanged undeniable bass faces at one another & in unison replied, "Yeah! Actually, WE DO!". The surrounding onlookers cheered & clapped as the Soulmates took hands and exchanged vows. "By the power invested in me here at the Church of Chad, I pronounce you Husband & Wife!" And they shared their first kiss. No tongue of course. Lol. Filled with glee, the newly weds accepted their official, but not legally binding, marriage certificate along with a colored polaroid of their unanticipated memorable moment. From then, Matt & Vanessa's Love grew like a Magical Bean Stalk. Within the next 48 hours they shared realities, transformation stories, morals and values, desires & dreams. They were witty, flirty & harmonized their humor effortlessly. They shared passions for all types of music, astronomy & emotional intelligence. They couldn't get enough of each other. We are talking about divine masculine & feminine energy coming together to break generational curses. Chosen souls tasked to create a love legacy that will define their bloodline. Raising children that will thrive & lead their peers into a New Earth! The depth of their chemistry put Cinderella & the Prince to shame. The long detailed wish list of their perfect spouse checked all the boxes & then some! Before the festival ended they gazed deep into each others soul & professed something kinda crazy! "I Love You!". Within 2 weeks Vanessa quit her Nuclear Security Career. Within 3 weeks Matt proposed with a stunning blue sapphire ring at Electric Forest. 2 weeks from then, they moved in together & have been living in BLISS ever since with their daughter, Valencia. Now, a full year later, they return to where it all began! Immersed in their own fairytale to bind their souls together for Eternity.

All Family and Friends will meet us at Punch Bowl Social . Address is 522 N Congress Ave, Austin, Texas 78701 at 5:30PM. Happy Hour is 3PM - 6:30PM. Children welcome! We will eat, play & enjoy quality time!

Where do I go once inside the Zilkner Botanical Garden?

Enchanted Golf carts will be picking up our guests & taking them to the Rose Garden. If you wish to walk, please look at the map at the entrance! From there, you may follow the wooden signs to the Garden Center. Once you arrive at the Mabel Davis Rose Garden, you will see a Rose Arch. Our officiant Mrs. Lindsey will greet you!

Is the Ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Outdoors & requires a mini stroll, so please wear comfy shoes. We will marry in rain or sunshine! Weather Update as of May 26: High of 91 degrees. Precipitation is at 24%, partly cloudy and sunny! We will provide fans & umbrellas!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:22pm. Please arrive around 1:30pm no later than 2:00pm to allow time to park, enter the venue & find your seat.

What is the dress code?

Casual Cute or your Sundays Best. Earth tones please! Browns, Tans, Golds, Beige, and Black for examples. Both of our favorite color is Purple! So shades of purple are welcome as well. Expect temperatures to be in low 90s and some humidity. Please wear comfy shoes for there is a a bit of a walk inside the garden.

You can order a driver from Lyft or Uber app. You can rent a vehicle from the Turo app or from the airport. The hotels are all 13-18 minutes from the garden & right next to the city! No need to travel too far for fun and eats!

Its 4:00pm & the celebration will come to a close. You may continue to walk around the garden if you would like. The Night is still Young! Enjoy Austin!
