What is the date and time of the reception?

Answer

The event is on Saturday, September 27th beginning at 5:30pm. We are not following a formal itinerary for the evening, but plan to have food available at the start. Guests may sit wherever they would like as we do not have a seating chart. The venue will close at 10:30pm.

Where is the reception taking place?

Answer

Our venue is at the Historic Smith-Orr Homestead in Downtown Orrville. The event will be taking place on the large front lawn in tented seating with the food buffet located in the Carriage House.

What should I wear/what is the dress code?

Answer

This is a laid back party to celebrate our marriage with family and friends. We want everyone to be able to relax and enjoy themselves! "Dressy Casual" outfits are perfect (i.e. "Sunday Best" but no one is expected to dress fancy. (Please remember to take into account the weather as this is an outdoor event)

Due to the venue and limited seating, this is an adult oriented event. Please only bring the guest(s) that were listed on your RSVP portion of the website. Thank you for understanding!

Is parking available on-site?

Answer

Yes, there will be some parking available on the lawn. When those spaces are full, guests can park in the empty lot directly across from the venue. There is also limited parking along Sterling Ave.

What's on the menu for dinner?

Answer

We are having are having a buffet-style assortment of both Lao and Italian dishes to honor the roots of our families. There will be Lasagna, Penne Pasta with tomato sauce, Meatballs, Salad, Egg Rolls, Sticky Rice, Noodles, and other favorites. There will be a variety of small desserts available as well (cupcakes, cannolis, and cheesecake bites). (For those that are gluten intolerant or vegetarian, there will be a veggie lasagna with gluten free noodles and at least a couple other meatless offerings.)

We will have an assortment of soft drinks as well as an open bar with alcohol (beer, wine, and seltzers).

We are fortunate to have all of the household items that we need since purchasing our first home a year ago. For those that wish to give a gift, we would be grateful for contributions to put towards home renovations.
