How It All BeganHow It All Began

It all started on a chilly Saturday in December on the Upper East Side. Monika, dressed like a certified out-of-towner for their Hop On Hop Off bus tour scheduled later that day, was kicking off her birthday celebration with her girlfriends. Their first stop? JG Melon—home of Bobby's famously potent mimosas. Spirits were high, outfits were coordinated, and the day had just begun. As fate would have it, just moments later, Michael and his two friends walked into the same bar, clearly on the same mission: drinks and good vibes. The place was packed and both groups found themselves awkwardly eyeing the same soon-to-be-vacant bar seats. Monika's friend Vanessa let Michael know they were waiting on them. But Michael, quick with the banter shot back, "Not anymore you're not!" A line that could’ve gone either way—but instead, it cracked the door open. Eventually, the groups settled in across the bar from each other. Drinks were flowing, and so was the commentary. Michael, clearly not shy, yelled across the counter, “Everyone comes here for the cheeseburgers, but their chicken club is what you should really get!” Monika turned with full sass and snapped back, “YEA I KNOW, I’M FROM HERE!” And just like that—the ice was broken, the tone was set, and the rest was history.

FAQsFAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 2nd 2026, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Question

Can I bring a date?Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invite for your +1!

Question

Are kids welcome?Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, the only children allowed at the ceremony and the reception are in the wedding party. If you are planning to travel with children, babysitters can be acquired through www.Care.com and www.whitehousenannies.com

Question

What will the weather be like? What will the weather be like?

Answer

Welcome to Bluemont, VA! The days can be very pleasant, averaging 80-85 degrees, but can get chilly at night as we are on a mountain.

Question

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

Please reference the Travel section for hotel options in the area. We have arranged a room block at Tru by Hilton. There are also a plethora of Air B&Bs both in Bluemont and Leesburg to choose from. If you choose an Air B&B on the mountain and it's listed as "walkable" to the Vineyard, we highly suggest researching the type of walk they mean. You will be on a mountain, and most "walkable" routes are hikes in the woods. We encourage you to secure your accommodations sooner than later as June is a popular month and hotels will fill up quickly.

Question

Where should I park?Where should I park?

Answer

If you're driving, parking is available in the lower lot and behind The Stable. Please avoid parking in the Wine Tasting Room lot—it’s farther up the mountain, and trust us, it’s a long walk to the venue. You're welcome to leave your car overnight, but it must be picked up by 12 PM on Sunday.

Question

Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels? Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?

Answer

A shuttle will be available for guests, with pickup at Tru by Hilton and Lansdowne Resort. If you’d like to ride, please RSVP so we can ensure there’s a seat for everyone. Buses will arrive at both locations at 3:15 and will not wait for stragglers. You snooze, you lose. While Ubers and rideshares can get you to the venue, they are extremely limited when leaving Bluemont. If you’re not planning to use the shuttle, we highly recommend securing an alternate mode of transportation in advance rather than relying on ride-share apps.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, but our reception will indoors. In the case of inclement weather, all events will be held inside.

Question

Will food be served? Will food be served?

Answer

Yes! There will be food at the cocktail hour as well as a family style dinner during the reception. Be ready to eat!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction? What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please alert us if you have a dietary allergy (not food preference) on your RSVP.

Question

What should I wear?What should I wear?

Answer

Attire: Cocktail/semi-formal. In other words—please do not wear jeans. Ladies: The venue has grassy areas, so stilettos might not be your feet’s best friend.

Question

Can we take pictures during the day?Can we take pictures during the day?

Answer

We’d love for you to capture memories from our special day! However, during the ceremony, we kindly ask that you refrain from using large cameras or iPads, as they may obstruct the photographer’s view.

Question

Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about? Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about?

Answer

In addition to Saturday's events, we will be hosting a welcome reception on Friday for all guests to stop by. Please refer to the Schedule section for more details. If you are staying at Lansdowne- we encourage you to partake in the Resort's amenities and pack accordingly. This hotel is located on three golf courses (tee times are required in advance), has 5 different pools (both kids friendly with water slides or adults only), tennis/ pickleball courts, and multiple hiking trails.

Question

Is there a gifts registry? Is there a gifts registry?

Answer

No.
