The Colombian Hotel brands (Dann Carlton, NH etc.) offer a luxurious experience at affordable prices. However, Airbnb's in El Poblado/Provenza/Manila are great hotel alternatives as well.

Jose Maria Cordoba International Airport (MDE)

We recommend flying into Jose Maria Cordoba International Airport (MDE). Only ~2.5 hrs from Miami with several flight options from all major airlines. Ubers are very cheap, clean, friendly and safe in Colombia. The airport is about a 20m Uber ride away from El Poblado where you will travel through one of the longest tunnels in the world and down the beautiful Medellin mountains.

Guatapé is located 1.5 hrs from El Poblado and features a large natural rock wonder called "La Piedra del Peñol" that you can climb all 657 steps to enjoy the most beautiful view from top. A few minutes further is downtown Guatapé recognized for it's historic district with art galleries, colorful colonial houses and unique heritage. Additionally, you have access to the a large lake where you can take tours, rent jet ski's, rent boats and enjoy the scenery.
