Shuttle
March 1, 2025 1:30 pm - 11:00 pm
We will offer a shuttle service for our guests travelling from Akaroa to Pigeon Bay. The shuttle will depart from Akaroa Post Office at 1.50pm and Duvauchelle Store at 2:15pm, ensuring everyone arrives in time for the 3pm ceremony. The bus will be making a toilet stop at the Pigeon Bay Hall (40 Wharf Road) before heading up the hill as there will be no toilets available at the ceremony location. At the end of the night, the shuttle will follow the same route to return guests back to Duvauchelle and Akaroa.
Rental Car
DO NOT drive down Middle Road into Pigeon Bay as it’s only suitable for 4WDs - Google Maps will try to take you this way. Instead, please use Pigeon Bay Road to ensure you arrive safely. There will be no toilets available at the ceremony location, you are welcome to stop at Pigeon Bay Hall (40 Wharf Road) or Anna's parents house (34 Wharf Road) to use the restrooms there before heading up the hill. Please arrive at the ceremony location by 3:00pm at the latest. There is space to park along the roadside outside the ceremony, but please leave enough space for the bus to get through and into the farm loop road which is up the hill from the ceremony. You can drive from the ceremony to the reception and park on the grass verge at the bottom of Starvation Gully Road, please avoid parking in front of the hall itself on Wharf Road. If you have spare seats, please offer them to anyone who may need assistance getting down the hill.
House Or Rental
The camp ground is situated right in Pigeon Bay, just a short 5min walk from the ceremony and reception.

Our wedding has a garden party theme with a casual vibe. Please note, the ceremony will be held outdoors in a garden, so we recommend avoiding stilettos. Also, there will be a 15-minute walk from the ceremony to the reception, so please bring comfortable shoes if needed for this part of the day.
After the ceremony, there will be a short 15-minute walk downhill to the reception. We recommend bringing appropriate shoes for the walk. Limited transport options will be available for those who need it.
No, your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for, especially with the distance many of you are travelling to be with us! If you do choose to give, we’d greatly appreciate a contribution to our honeymoon fund instead of a traditional gift. If this is any concern or you’d like to discuss other options, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly! A wishing well will be available at the reception for any cards and well wishes.
