6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Casual
We will be having a casual welcome party the night before the wedding at Sunlight. We will have lawn games set up and bring in some casual food from + have beer and wine. We’ll do something fun for the 4th of July. Attendance is optional, feel free to drop in for as little or as long as you’d like!
4:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Mountain Chic Wedding Attire
Ceremony and Reception: The ceremony will be outside at a warm part of the day. The reception will have both indoor and covered outdoor options. The resort is at nearly 8000 feet so bring a puffy jacket/sweater for later in the evening when it cools down outside. Food and Libations: We will have appetizers, full dinner, and a bar with beer, wine, NA options, and a signature whiskey cocktail. Still working through this with the venue so more details to come. We will plan to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions, so please let us know if your party has any to work around.
Travel Note
- Option 1: We suggest booking a condo at the Brettelberg Condominiums onsite at the venue. - Option 2: You can book a hotel in Glenwood Springs, which is a 25 minute drive to/from the venue. - Option 3: Dry camping is available in the lower parking lot of the resort, just below the venue. Camping is free but does require a reservation with the resort. Please let us know if you are interested in this option.
Hotel
Each condominium is at the resort, steps away from the wedding venue, and reserved independently. See details on the link above. The resort is not operational during the summer except for the wedding and reception, so you will need to plan to bring what you need with you if staying here or drive in to town for restaurants and other amenities.
Hotel
If you would prefer to be in town with easy access to restaurants, retail, hot springs, etc. there are many hotel options and AirBNB's. Some unique historic options right near downtown include the Hotel Colorado, Hotel Maxwell Anderson, and Glenwood Hot Springs Lodging, along with various other hotel/motel options depending on what you're looking for. If booking in town, we recommend looking near the area where Highway 82 crosses the Colorado River to take advantage of all the best Glenwood Springs has to offer.
Flight
Denver is a 3.5 hour drive away. Car rentals are easy and plentiful. Typically the more economical option but longer drive.
Flight
Eagle airport is a 1 hour drive from the venue. Rental cars are more limited than Denver, so we suggest booking them well in advance. Typically costs a little more than Denver but is much less driving. Same driving distance as Aspen so worth looking into both.

Flight
Depending on where you're coming from, Grand Junction might be worth a look. It's just over 1.5 hours from the venue and more predictable road conditions than coming from Denver. Should be plenty of rental car options here.
Travel Note
We suggest renting a car from whatever airport you're flying into, or driving if you're local. There will be ample parking at the venue and the condos on site, as well as at any hotels in town. It is possible to take the Amtrak or Bustang from Denver or Grand Junction, but you will need to figure out transportation to the venue.
Historic hot springs right in town.
There are tons of amazing food and beverage options in Glenwood Springs. We like to frequent the Grand Avenue Bridge area that has a high concentration of restaurants, bars, breweries, and a large common outdoor seating area under the bridge right by the river.
There are several companies in Glenwood Springs who offer various types of guided whitewater rafting trips right from town on the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers.
Lots of great options nearby, including the Rio Grande trail alongside the Roaring Fork River all the way to Aspen and the Glenwood Canyon Recreation Path alongside the Colorado River up through the canyon east of town.
