Justin and I have known each other since high school. I always had a crush on him….his smile, he was always laughing, handsome, and a heart of gold. The opportunity just never presented itself… until it did! He found me on social media and we got together to go see The Movement, one of my favorite bands. We laughed, talked for hours, danced, and I even got to meet the lead singer! We had SO much fun together, it was as if we had been best friends for years. It felt like home when we were together and we were pretty inseparable after that. As our love grew, we carefully incorporated our children and watched our story unfold organically. Our love was deserving of a special one year anniversary and first Valentine’s Day together, so we booked a trip to the quiet North Shore of Oahu. Our first day there we went on a crazy challenging hike, we conquered that mountain but not without Justin’s sense of humor and positive energy getting me up those last 5 million stairs! 😅 The next day we woke up sick as dogs. We spent our first anniversary and Valentine’s Day together in bed, watching Heartbreak Kid and taking everything we could to get better ASAP, so we could enjoy the rest of our vacation together. Soon we were on the mend and off on some adventures. The first place he took me to was the beautiful Waimea Falls. It was there that he got down on one knee and asked me the question I’ve waited my whole life to be asked. Of course I said yes without hesitation. He was no doubt “my person” and I can’t help but believe I’ve kind of always known. God couldn’t have picked a more beautiful story and safer place for us to land. We cannot wait to get married and have all of you there to witness and celebrate our love with us! ❤️
