Our Love Story

Michael and I met in 2016 at ocharleys in Chattanooga. He was a cook in the kitchen & I started out as a hostess/togo server. We were just friends and he actually moved to Chilis in Hixson so we didn’t really ever talk again until a year later when he messaged me on Snapchat & said he wanted to be my man haha! We hung out a few times during the summer and instantly clicked! By August 5, 2017 we were dating and after that our love story really began. We’ve had a ton of firsts & traveled to different states together! We’ve watched each other grow as individuals but also as a power couple. On October 21, 2022 we welcomed our son, Micah, into the world. He’s now been the joy of our lives for 8+ months. A month after Micah arrived we got engaged & married, but knew we still were having a wedding in the future- I just knew I wasn’t putting on a dress postpartum lol. It’s been 5 years of dating and almost a year as a family. I’ve found the love of my life, partner and best friend all in one & I can’t wait to spend forever with him!! Our journey may have not been the traditional way, but it’s been perfect for us and I would do it the exact same way again looking back. They say the first year of marriage and raising a baby is hard, but together we’ve gotten through half a year of nothing but pure happiness & love. Thank you everyone for joining us on our special day and to those who have supported us through our journey🤍🥂

Wedding Party

Reginae Robbins

Maid of Honor

Nae has been my bestfriend since 7th grade. It’s so hard to keep friendships for that long but we’ve been close since we cheered together at east ridge middle & highschool. She graduated a year before me and went to mtsu so when I graduated I joined her. She moved in to become a flight attendant & relocated to Dallas, TX but that hasn’t changed anything in our friendship. We’ve learned a lot together when it comes to growth, held each other accountable and she’s been a shoulder for me to cry on when I’ve needed it. She’s always been my go to girl! When I found out I was pregnant she was the first person I called & she went through the whole pregnancy with Michael and I. She was the bestfriend you want when you’re expecting because she sent me a pregnancy pillow, constant goodies and made sure to send me food the first few months when we got home with Micah and I couldn’t leave the house. She’s been a blessing in my family’s life forsure and always takes care of us when we need it. Finding a soul sister is hard, but I’m glad I’ve still got mine.

Aubrey Reeves

Bridesmaid

Aubrey and I are a lot alike & I think that’s what made us click about 4 years ago when she started working at ocharleys. She’s tough, caring and will do anything for her friends! She’s been a real and solid person I’ve been able to count on ever since. We’ve had nothing but good times together and she’s actually become one of my bestfriends. She’s been to my parents house for thanksgiving and Christmas & has truly become family to me! She has been there for me when I needed it and was there for me my whole pregnancy to help me get through it. I had a hard time physically but Aubrey was always there. When it got close to the end and I was crying in pain while Michael was at work she showed up everyday to to take me to the doctor or hospital when I thought it was “time.” This is a friend that I can say we started out with nothing and came up together by Gods grace. I’ve been able to watch her grow as a person and raise her son while I learn from her. I’m thankful she was placed at that restaurant when she was and that we became friends because I think we needed each other. Now we’re both blessed as boy moms, and I’ve got a forever friend that uplifts me while I uplift her.

Courtney Lacey

Bridesmaid

I also met Courtney at ocharleys, but I met her maybe 6 years ago. I thought she was so wild because if you know Courtney then you know LOL. Turns out she’s actually the kindest person I know. Her heart is pure and she would do anything for her friends. She shows up for everything, and she’s been that friend that always supports you and your decisions, but will also give you advice you don’t want to hear. I can count on Courtney to show up and be there for me time and time again without hesitation!! She’s attended my family’s thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. When Courtney is around we have nothing less of a GREAT time & she is hilarious! I adore the friendship that we have and I’m thankful to have a friend like her.

Casey Biggs

Groomsman

We both met Casey 3 years ago when Courtney, his girlfriend & one of the bridesmaids, brought him out one night with us when they started dating. He took Michael fishing for his first time, let him drive the boat, got him in the lake as well as showed up for every surprise birthday I try to do for Michael and our baby shower. He’s a great friend of ours & we are thankful to have made good friends with him and his family!

Dexter Jones

Groomsman

Dexter and Michael met at Volkswagen probably 2.5 years ago. They both worked third shift and became really good friends! Dexter is married, so one evening they decided to do a double date without telling the ladies. When Michael & I showed up to top golf turns out I knew his wife from highschool all along lol. We all were shocked and although they’ve both moved to different shifts, they’ve been friends ever since and couldn’t be happier that he is standing by his boys side!

Michael Carter

Groomsman

So MC actually started out as one of my friends maybe 10 years ago and then became one of my best guy friends. Although he works on the road, we make sure we still link up whenever he’s in Chattanooga. When he met Michael I knew they’d get along because they’re both very laid back. I know if we ever needed anything MC would be one of the first people we’d go to and I know no matter what he will show up not just for me but for my family. He will always be a forever friend & I’m thankful he stuck around to stand by Michael and I on our big day!

Rafar Springs

Honorary Best Man

Rafar and Michael met in 8th grade & became the best of friends. About 4 years after graduating highschool he was put on dialysis for kidney failure and shortly after he went to be with the Lord. He may not be here earthside with us but he’s forever in our hearts 🤍

FAQs

Question

How early should you arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin right at 4:30pm. You may start arriving at 4pm to sign our guest book and find a seat, but no later than 4:25. The gravel driveway passes by where the ceremony will be held so if you’re late you’ll have to wait at the end of the driveway or you will ruin pictures so try to be early.

Question

Do we have a registry?

Answer

No, we do not because I have no idea what to ask for lol. We plan on looking for our first home after the wedding, so we will accept anything given to us for our new home like kitchen/cooking supplies, bathroom decor, etc. We will have a card/gift table set up and honeymoon fund box, but all we want is to have a good time with our friends and family so do not feel like you have to get us something because God has provided for us & will continue to 🤍🥂

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

There will be wine & beer, so party accordingly and please make arrangements to make sure you get home safely. No cars can be left at the venue :)

Question

Can you bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, unless you’ve spoken directly with Michael or I then no. We have a certain amount of guests that the venue can hold and we’ve reached that limit. The guests on your reservation that are formally invited are the only guests allowed as we’re trying to keep this day as intimate as possible 🤍

Question

Is there parking by the venue?

Answer

Parking, the ceremony and reception are all very close to each other. The gravel parking lot can hold up to 100 cars and is located behind the barn. You will follow the gravel road right up to the parking lot.

Question

What if I don’t rsvp in time?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate you if you don’t rsvp in time. I have a certain date to get back with vendors and the venue.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Absolutely! We would love for your family to help us celebrate our special day, just be sure to keep an eye on them throughout the evening:)
