Travel

Flying to Osaka? You’ve got two main airport options to choose from: KIX - Kansai International Airport: This is your best option. ITM - Itami: A little further, but still super convenient. Quick tip: Double-check your passport! You’ll need at least six months before it expires, or you won’t be able to enter Japan. (Better safe than sorry!) Where to Stay? Let’s Talk Location! Closest to the Shrine: Sumiyoshi Ward is your go-to if you want to be super close to the ceremony location. For the Night Owls and Tourists: If you’re after some nightlife and touristy fun, Namba, Shinsaibashi, Tennoji, Umeda, Shinsekai, and Shin Imamiya are all buzzing with energy. Perfect for exploring and making memories! Getting Around Japan Like a Pro Japan’s public transportation is on point! If you’ve got an iPhone, grab the Icoca transit card for easy travel on trains and buses. Its best to reload it with a Mastercard. And don’t worry about getting lost, Google Maps works like a dream in Japan.

Things To Do

Take some time to sightsee while you're visiting Osaka! We recommend exploring the following places: Osaka Castle was built in 1583 and is known for its beautiful architecture and cultural significance. Tours are available inside the castle! Kuromon Market is known as "Osaka's Kitchen" and famous for fresh seafood and amazing street food. Dotonbori is the entertainment district and famous for its neon lights and street food. We recommend trying Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Yakiniku and apple candy! Universal studios Japan! Nara is known for its cultural heritage and Deer park. Kyoto is a 15 minute ride away on the Shinkansen bullet train. From 794-1868 it was Japan's capital and home to the emperor. Famous for its cultural heritage and numerous temples and shrines.
