The Ceremony

4:30 pm

The Jewel Box
St. Louis, MO 63101

Please arrive NO LATER than 4:15 PM. The Jewel Box is incredibly stringent on the time frame. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. So, if you are planning to grab a drink or three with a group of people prior to the ceremony, make sure to wrap it up early. You know who you are. The Jewel Box, located on a 17-acre site in Forest Park, was built by the City of St. Louis in 1936. Designed by city engineer William C. E. Becker, the art deco building is known for its unconventional, cantilevered, vertical glass walls rising majestically 50 feet high. Today it is an aged St. Louis treasure that has been restored to its former glory.

The Reception

6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Let's Party. Cocktail hour will occur from 6-7 PM. The Coronado is the epitome of opulence. The former hotel officially opened in 1925 and once hosted such important figures as Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman. The building was eventually restored, and today it is known for its elegance and grandeur. Fun fact- The Coronado also serves as student housing, where Meridith lived during her last two years of college at SLU!

To Do in the Lou

Fair St. Louis

Happy 4th! Check out all the fun things happening in STL this weekend.

Hammerstone's

2028 South 9th Street, St. Louis, MO 63104

Where Meridith and Tim met and had their first date. It was love at first sip. Famous for live music, great food, and a fun patio- all of this in a building with history dating back to 1884. Legend has it that during prohibition, it was a drug store in front with bootleg liquor out back, and doctor offices upstairs. Other places in historic Soulard we love: -McGurk's Irish Pub & Garden -Molly's in Soulard -Soulard Farmers Market

Forest Park

5595 Grand Drive, St. Louis, MO 63112

One of Meridith and Tim's favorite spots in St. Louis. Many days and nights have been spent in the park- taking a stroll, movie nights and the symphony orchestra on Art Hill, concert going and festivals...Forest Park has it all. There is so much to do in Forest Park! We recommend checking out the following: The Saint Louis Art Museum The Missouri History Museum The Muny The Saint Louis Zoo The Boathouse

The Gateway Arch

St. Louis, MO 63102

Where Tim proposed. Some say there were fireworks when he popped the question. Founded by the National Park Service in 1935 to commemorate Thomas Jefferson’s vision of a transcontinental United States, the Gateway Arch National Park (formerly known as the “Jefferson National Expansion Memorial”) stretches from the Old Courthouse to the steps overlooking the Mississippi River.

St. Louis Breweries

If you are looking to have some brews with your crew, check out Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery, obviously. A few of our other favorites: Rockwell Beer Co. Schlafly Beer Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.
