Rocky is beautiful during the fall, with lots of quaking aspens in full color and the elk rut allowing for great wildlife viewing. We suggest Nymph, Dream Emerald, and Haiyaha lakes off of the Bear lake corridor, a drive up Trail Ridge road to the Alpine visitor center, and treats in nearby Estes Park. Make sure to make reservations to access the park ahead of time, as RMNP uses a timed entry system to access busier areas of the park. Happy trails!
Garden of the Gods is a beautiful area to hike in and explore near Colorado Springs. There are plenty of nature trails to walk to be immersed in the colorful rocks and desert landscape.
The Golden History Museum and Park offer exhibits demonstrating early pioneers and fur traders. The history park offers a walk through historical cabins and a hike around the surrounding area.

The Fort was built in 1963 and is a full-size replica of Bent's Fort, an 1830s adobe fur-trading post that was located off the Santa Fe Trail. It is one of the largest adobe buildings in the United States and is on the National Registry of Historical Places. The Fort was one of the first restaurants to serve Buffalo in Colorado and is known for our Mountain Man cuisine. We serve award-winning historical meals including buffalo, elk, and quail. We also have local beef, lamb and fresh seafood. The distinctive Early West cuisine offers diners the chance to experience meals in a truly unique and elegant setting. For those who do not eat meat, we offer vegetarian and vegan options. Our private dining menus feature plated, buffet, and family style dinners. We also have options for cocktail receptions with heavy hors d'oeuvres.
