Where do I begin… Billy and I have known each other for years, but we truly didn’t meet until a night out in San Diego. I sent him a message on Instagram after seeing him that night, and a year later…we finally hung out and went to a concert together. Another year passed without seeing each other…and we met up at Retro Taco to hang out. You guessed it…another whole year passed and we hung out again, but this time it finally stuck. I went to Billy’s house to watch a movie, Shrek to be exact. It was my idea to watch Shrek 2…since we already watched the first one. I kept going over to Billy’s house until there were no more Shreks to watch. We like to think Shrek really brought us together. If you were to ask us when our first date was we wouldn’t be able to tell you, but we like to think it was when we got breakfast together at The Broken Yolk. The weekend after we went to breakfast, we met up for coffee and Billy brought me one single carnation. That’s when I knew that this boy really liked me and I really liked him. Which is funny because neither of us even wanted to be in a relationship. We started to date more, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and we fell in love with each other and the future we could build together. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight.” Proverbs 3: 5-6
