OUR STORY; We met on FaceBook dating (no, not market place!) and texted for a few days before we had our first date on 09.11.23 at a fancy tapas restaurant in downtown Raleigh. We admitted to each other later on that we both separately had to research and ask friends what half of the menu items were as it was a bit more sophisticated than our standard dining. After our second date we were inseparable. ("I believe he really fell in love with the dogs, and decided to merely tolerate me for their sake." - Melissa). We spent the next few months getting to know each other better by going on adventures such as touring DC, doing a ropes course, Melissa beating Sami at axe throwing, and Sami shaming Melissa at bowling. Melissa - "We spent our first Christmas together at my parent's house, along with my Mamaw. Sami had to come later because of work, so I planned out a prank with my mom and Mamaw - I wrote a fake Christmas card to Mamaw "from Sami." The card stated that he was so excited to spend his first Christmas with her, but did not know what to get her for Christmas and to consider the card redeemable for a foot massage and pedicure at any time. Sami hid the shock on his face, and quickly rolled through the situation telling Mamaw that it was his pleasure to do so, but since it was his first one I had agreed to help him with it (I immediately admitted to the card being fake!) He blended so easily with my family over our Christmas celebration, I knew he was special" Sami - "When I came to the US from Jordan, the idea that I'll find the love of my life here never crossed my mind. Melissa used to ask me to repeat the sentence "Happy Wife, Happy Life" as a joke, and now I can say that I've found the person that makes me feel happy just because she is. (P.s. I was only reminded 15 Times to write my part on the website)" "For our 6 month anniversary on 3.11.24 Sami took us on a hike in a local state park with all of the dogs, followed by dinner at the restaurant we had our first date - we were much more comfortable with the menu this go around. Following dinner that evening, Sami asked me to marry him. The dogs ran in circles around us throughout the proposal, but I was able to shoo them away and finally say YES!"
