Flight
Denver International Airport (DIA) will be the best airport to fly into. It's about 1.5 hours from DIA to Estes Park. We do recommend renting a car, but there is also a bus + train that takes ~3 hours.
Rocky Mountain National Park is one of our favorites! For those just wanting to check out the park, take a drive up bear lake road to the end and check out bear lake (about a 5 min walk) For those wanting to hike, take Bear lake road to the end and you can choose from 4 lakes (1-4 miles) to visit. Nymph > Diamond > Emerald or Lake Haiyaha (all on the same trail). Spikes are also recommended if you're hiking! https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/emerald-lake-trail For those really wanting to hike, Sky Pond is a great 9ish mile trail: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/sky-pond-via-glacier-gorge-trail You do not need a park reservation in the winter, but you do need a park pass or can purchase one day of at the entrance.
Yes! We will have room blocks at Estes Park Condos (https://estesparkcondos.com/). They are located ~5 min drive to the venue. The rooms are unique in that they sleep 1 - 10 people depending on the room booked. We have done our best to group friends together in the larger condos. Take a look at the sheet here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1275D2Pales_bpFEJ8xqkVHAuf20MMDYdXphoZn7xrfQ/edit?tab=t.0 If you want to swap around a room, let us know and we can help you with that! To book: Either call or email EMAIL: info@estesparkcondos.com PHONE: (970)-577-0068 Tell them you are part of the Ewald room block and request the room we "assigned" from the document. They also have the list as well.
Yes! We will have a bus that does a round at the condos to bring all guests to the venue. We will also provide a bus to do a few rounds towards the end of the night to bring guests back to the condos. There will be 3 trips to get people to the venue. The first bus will pick people up at 3:15pm. There will be 2 stops: One at the Welcome Center and one near Antlers Point 1. Please be at one of the locations to jump onto the shuttle. The venue is beautiful to walk around, please don't wait for the last shuttle to get to the venue.
Yes-ish! We'll be extending the party for an hour at the venue to keep the party going!
Estes park does have Ubers, but they are few and far between. We recommend calling them 30-40 min before you're ready to go. If you need another option, you can call Estes Park Shuttle, https://estesparkshuttle.com/, 970-586-5151.
Yes! There is plenty of parking at the venue.
The bridesmaids will be wearing different shades of purple and the groomsmen will be wearing dark green.
Semi-formal "For women, this typically includes knee-length or midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or a skirt and top combination, with options for elegant pantsuits. Men can opt for a well-tailored suit with a dress shirt and tie, or a blazer with dress pants and a button-down shirt."
Ideally the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside & reception inside. We recommend bringing jackets. The venue provides hand warmers and there's space heaters throughout.
It's Colorado - it can be 80 degrees or 20.
