We met in high school, I was a junior and she was a senior. We hung out a lot through highschool. We kind of lost touch for a little after she graduated. I went to college in Flagstaff and started getting in touch with her again. We talked for a while before I would come down and started hanging out with her on my breaks. My parents and her parents knew each other in highschool and a little through church. She invited my family over for dinner in March 2023 and that was around when the conversations of us liking each other slowly began. I knew I liked her and wanted a future with her but I was a broke college kid and it worried me that I wouldn't be able to give her everything I wanted to be able to give her in a relationship. We went on our "first date" and had our first kiss on April 1st. We spent a lot of freshman college summer hanging out but still never called ourselves official even though we were exclusive. We had a couple of conversations about life, relationships, and money, then I asked her to be my girlfriend on May 18th. I asked her to marry me on my birthday, January 10th, 2024 in Sedona when she came to visit me and the rest is history.
