We are planning a unique wedding with an emphasis on the reception. When entering the reception space in the Covered Porch, you'll be directed to grab a seat on either side of the room. Please note there are two sides (just like in marriage) and these sides will represent the teams. As in, bride's team (left side) and groom's side (right side). Fun Caveat: Traditionally the Groom stands on the right. This allows him to defend his bride by holding her back with his left hand while drawing his sword away from her to fend off his competition. Thankfully, there will be no sword play at our wedding. Once you've claimed your seat please make your way through the buffet and grab a drink at the bar. Once everyone has finished eating we will kick off the night with toasts, then let the games begin!
It all started at a summer internship with St. Jude Medical. Megumi, a student at Georgia Tech, and Michael, a University of Minnesota Gopher, began dating and after two months together they kept their relationship going long-distance until Megumi made the move to the Twin Cities. And here we are 12 years later.

Unless we've reached out to you personally about more intense game play roles, please dress semi-formal. We suggest leaning in to the natural beauty of the venue and embracing floral patterns.
While we welcome celebrating with your children, our event has not been planned with children in mind and we will not be providing childcare during the event. Please decide your attendance based on what works best for your family.
Don't worry! We will have a professional game show host, who promises not to pick on anyone unwilling, most of the night will be passive yet enthusiastic audience participation. Don't forget to fill out the Survey Says when RSVP-ing for our wedding, this is mandatory.
