Shenandoah National Park
A short drive from Charlottesville, Shenandoah National Park offers hiking trails with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding valleys. Chose your trails thoughtfully (we recommend AllTrails) and bring water - it will be hot! You can also drive or bike through the park via Skyline Drive and access several lookout points along the way.

Bodo's Bagels
One of Charlottesville's most iconic establishments. These bagels fueled Meghan and Luke (and all of the former UVa athletes attending this wedding) throughout undergrad. Bodo's has 3 locations in the Charlottesville area. We recommend visiting the University Ave location and enjoying your bagel on the steps of UVa's Rotunda. Meghan's order: sesame bagel, jalepeno cream cheese, sausage and bacon Luke's order: everything bagel, pastrami, egg, swiss (x2)

Everything here is excellent! If the line is crazy, another great bakery, MarieBette Cafe and Bakery, is just down the street and serves amazing pastries, breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
UVa Volleyball vs. Michigan @ North Grounds Rec Center (12pm on Saturday)
Cheer on the Wahoos as they compete against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday at 12pm. If you are staying at The Forum, the North Grounds Rec Center is a less than 5 min walk. Note: Mem Gym (the usual home for UVa Volleyball) is under construction until Fall 2026.
Lampo Neapolitan Pizzeria
The Diavola pizza and zepole for dessert are a must! The Art Park location offers takeout, if that is your preference.
King Family Vineyards
Enjoy local Charlottesville wine and spectacular views at this award winning winery. King Family allows you to bring in your own food for a picnic or enjoy bites from food trucks on site. Seating is all first come, first serve and no reservations are required. You can bring folding chairs or a blanket to set up on the lawn area if you chose. Meghan recommends the Crozet Rose!

Check out any of the craft breweries listed on Charlottesville's Ale Trail. Roger McDowell (father of the bride) recommends Rockfish Brewery on Preston Ave.

Will there be transportation to the wedding venue?
Answer
Yes! Coach buses will provide transport to and from The Forum and Hyatt hotels as designated times. We will provide more details closer to the event date.

Will the wedding be inside or outside?
Answer
Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside in a grassy area adjacent to the Tiffin Barn. Cocktail hour will take place around the perimeter of the Barn (weather permitting). The reception will take place inside the Barn.
