Flight
Fly to Spain
We recommend flying into Barcelona or Madrid if you plan to travel closer to the wedding date. The closest airport to the wedding venue will be Barcelona (BCN), but do not feel limited to only being able to fly into Barcelona. You could also fly into Madrid, Seville or any other Major European city.
Train
Train/BUS to the hotel or venue
You can opt to rent a car from Barcelona, but taking the train makes it easy. From Barcelona it will be a 60min train ride. Would recommend taking a train to the ALTAFULLA station which is within walking distance to the hotel, and a short cab ride to the venue. Otherwise, the TARRAGONA station would also work as this might have more time options, but you will definitely need a taxi to the hotel. The BUS (busplana.com) can also be a good option if you are travelling straight from the airport to Tarragona. It will be a one hour bus ride after which you will need to book a cab to the hotel.

Shuttle to the castle will be at 3 pm from the lobby of the Altafulla Mar hotel. The wedding will start with the ceremony in front of the venue, followed by cocktails and tapas overlooking the Mediterranean, dinner in the courtyard, and, unfortunately, dancing. Wedding Menu *Please let us know of any allergies or dietary preferences in your RSVP and we will update your meal accordingly! Starter: Salad of marinated salmon dices with caramelized apple, orange blossom jelly and fennel chutney. Main course: Iberian pork flank with Idiazábal cream, baby potatoes, caramelized pineapple with rum and muscatel wine reduction. Pre dessert: Gin tonic sorbet with green apple and yogurt foam. Dessert: Cheesecake: Cheese mousse stuffed with fruits of the forest and crunchy praline with milk chocolate and Maldon salt.

This small coastal town was once the Roman colony of Tarraco. Many ruins can still be found throughout the city, from the Amfiteatre de Tarragona, the Roman Circus and the Colony Forum.
