They were introduced in 2013 by Chris' cousin who actually happens to be one of Jazzy's closest and best friends. They spoke on the phone before they met in person. They dated for a while and officially got together in 2014. Since then, they have been pretty much inseparable, showing up to friend events, family functions with the other not far behind. They moved in together after about a year. They had their first daughter Jaya in 2016. They supported each other through school, buying a house ... Their second daughter Jasaia was born in 2020. They have a strong partnership and truly embody how opposites attract. While Jasmine is a homebody who adores her family and close friends, Chris loves to hang out and has multiple groups of friends. They meet in the middle with movie nights and they LOVE to travel together and experience new adventures as a family. Fast forward to early 2023 (TEN years later) Jazzy decided to have brunch for her birthday. Chris told her he would handle the entire lunch, just to invite no more than 15 people to the house for brunch. The day had arrived, strangely, about 35/40 people arrived for the "small" brunch. Just as Jazzy's social battery was beginning to deplete, everyone gathered in the family room and Chris got down on one knee and PROPOSED! As a couple, they stand by the notion that anything worth having is worth fighting for and if something is broken you fix it, not just throw it away. An old school notion, they can admit, but it has carried them thus far... "So here we are... honored and blessed by your support in our union. Thank you!"
