Pacaya Volcano Hike

9:00 am - 9:00 am

You will want to bring hiking or comfortable shoes as well as a jacket.

Although this easy hike (roughly 2 hours of hiking) is not required we would love everyone who wants to, to join. This will be at your own expense and we will have a group price as it gets closer. On your invite there is a QR code to reserve your spot. It is a $29 deposit, and depending on how many people will determine the price. We are estimating it will be total no more than $45. This includes roundtrip transportation and a lunch. At 2552m Volcano Pacaya is less challenging than our other hikes, but the views and volcanic landscape make it so worthwhile and it is still a great adventure! Still the most fun active volcano in Guatemala. Join in this tour to experience an active volcano still with lava hot-spots, cooled lava chambers and a broken peak from the big eruption of 2010. Just recently Pacaya has become more active again, so if you’re lucky you might get to see some new lava. You will also get to toast marshmallows on the recently cooled lava!

Travel

I have a folder of saved AIRBNBS don't be afraid to ask! AIR. BNBS ARE SO CHEAP 💕 A lot of hotels book quickly & may be full. Do not panic there are a ton of hotels in the area. Antigua is extremely small, if you need any help please ask! MY PLANNER RECOMMENDS YOU BOOK ASAP. UPDATE: Spirit now flies from BWI to GUA :) Antigua is about an hour from Aurora International Airport. (We STRONGLY DO NOT recommend getting a rental car) * I have used uber around town & tuktuks around town (very cheap) Reach out to us with your arrival time and my planner can help coordinate transportation from the airport 🫶🏻 Please do not feel that you have to stay at the listed hotels. There are so many AIR BNBs in the area that are a fraction of the price!

FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

ALL BLACK "Black Tie". For men, this means tuxedos or suits. Dress shirts/dress pants are fine as well. For women, full length or cocktail dresses. We are asking all of our guests to wear black. We strongly encourage you to have fun with this and show off! No outfit is too much!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes it is out of the country so you will need a passport! Keep in mind this can sometimes take several months to get so do not wait last minute unless you want to pay more :)

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 2:00PM, please be at the venue no later than 1:45PM.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We are only allowing guests to specific people which will be stated on your invitation.

Answer

As much as we love all of our guests kids, the wedding is an adult's only party! We want everyone to have an awesome time and not have to worry about taking care of the littles <3

Question

Answer

In November, temperatures average around 64-80F. The mornings and evenings are when it is chillier.

Question

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

No, there is no designated parking at the venue. There is very limited street parking. On average, an Uber or Tuk-Tuk to the venue is about $2-3.00.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors and the reception will be outdoors.

Question

Do we need a rental car?

Answer

The town is very walkable! I do not recommend getting a rental car, both times in Guatemala we did not. Uber is used there and is very cheap. We took an uber from the airport to the hotel which is about 45 minutes.
