This is the local airport. It doesn't service many airlines but is 20 minutes away from town.

AVL is 1.5 hours away from Johnson City but receives more flights. This airport is a hub for Allegiant, so there are a number of affordable flights from various places, including Austin, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and NYC. We recommend Austinites book the flight from Friday, September 8th to Monday, September 11th as we have already booked a shuttle to ferry people to and fro.

The Knoxville Airport supports a number of national airlines and is 1.5 hours away from Johnson City.
