Question

Cruise Check In:

Answer

Make sure to check in via the Celebrity Cruises app ahead of time! You'll need your passport or ID and original birth certificate, travel info, and form of payment for onboard purchases.

Question

Packing Tips:

Answer

When preparing for your cruise, consider packing versatile clothing suitable for both daytime activities and evening events. Don’t forget essentials like swimwear, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes for exploring ports. It's also wise to bring a light jacket for cooler evenings and any formal attire required for special dinners. Cruise ships have very limited outlets in the cabins. Bring a cruise-approved power strip to charge all your gadgets! Your checked luggage may take a few hours to arrive in your stateroom, so pack anything important (like medications or a change of clothes) in a carry-on bag. Happy packing!

Question

Cash and Cards:

Answer

While most places accept credit cards, having some cash on hand for tips or small purchases can be helpful. Bring small bills to tip with if you are going on any excursions. Be sure to inform your bank of your travel plans to avoid any issues with card usage.

Question

Transportation to Port:

Answer

Taxi or Rideshare: Expect a quick 10-15 minute ride, costing around $35–$45 depending on traffic. Services like Uber and Lyft are readily available. (We recommend Uber or Lyft)

Question

Disembarkation Day: Booking Your Flight Home

Answer

On disembarkation day, we recommend booking your return flight for 12:00 PM (noon) or later from Miami International Airport (MIA). Disembarkation begins early in the morning, but it can take time to go through customs and get transportation from the port to the airport. Booking a flight before noon may be too rushed and could add unnecessary stress to your departure day.

Question

Getting to the Airport from the Port

Answer

We recommend using Uber or Lyft to get from the Port of Miami to the airport. It’s the easiest and most efficient option after disembarkation. The ride takes about 15–20 minutes depending on traffic. Expect to pay around $25–$35, depending on demand. Taxis are also available at the cruise terminal, but rideshare is often faster and more flexible.

Question

Travel Insurance

Answer

We strongly recommend purchasing travel health insurance to ensure you're covered in the event of unexpected medical issues while abroad. Most U.S. health insurance plans, including Medicare, do not provide coverage outside the country, which means you could be responsible for the full cost of care if you need medical attention during the cruise or while in port. Many of our guests are using InsureMyTrip.com to find coverage that fits their needs. It’s an easy way to protect yourself and travel with peace of mind!
