The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held at the same location, which is the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow. The ceremony will be on the beach. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place inside the Pavilion and under a tented area.
The ceremony will be taking place outside- weather permitting. The reception will be held both inside the Pavilion as well as outside under a tented area. In the event that there is some rain on our special day, the ceremony/reception will be moved indoors.
We are requesting that all our guests arrive by 5:00PM as our ceremony begins promptly at 5:30 PM.
If you have received a plus one it will be listed on your invitation. Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.
Yes, our venue is located in a state park with free public parking available. If you chose to drive to and from the event, there are places to leave your car.
Yes, we will have a shuttle available from the Hyatt Regency to the venue leaving at 4:15 pm promptly. The shuttle will be returning to the Hyatt Regency at the end of the evening 11 pm. Note: If taking the shuttle from the hotel, please prepare for a longer travel time to and from the venue (approximately 40 mins). Due to low overhead bridges on the Long Island Parkway, the shuttles must take back roads.
If you are not taking shuttle services and driving in your own vehicle please inform toll that you are a guest of the DeCara/Blanchard wedding to avoid a toll fee.
We are requesting that our guests dress semi-formal.
We do love your little ones! However, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements for the kids ahead of time so you can relax and enjoy the evening with us!
