Our journey so far…

We started dating August 19, 2017. We enjoyed each others time. Spending most of our days and nights camping, driving around town, getting ice cream, and going on movie dates. January 2020 we got our first apartment in Moses Lake, we learned a lot about ourselves in the first few months of living together. Dancing around the apartment, making dinner together, and having quiet small dates in our apartment made the time together special. (Thanks to COVID there wasn’t much to do other than be together all the time.) June 2021 we found out we were expecting our baby girl! We were both terrified and excited that we were becoming parents! Knowing our one bedroom apartment would not work for us soon, we started thinking about buying a house. Preslynn came in to our lives February 2022. Not a day goes by that we don’t cherish the feeling of being parents. It’s an amazing journey! The time finally came for us to move in to our house in January 2023. We started making this house our home so quickly. January 2024 we went snowmobiling for the first time together on Blewett pass. KcJames did not tell anyone he was proposing, (we all knew he had bought a ring). So it came as a surprise when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The first thing out of my mouth should have been YES! But it was “don’t do this, you’re joking.” Later that day I got to do the fun part and start calling family and friends to show them our news! Shortly after that started the wedding planning! And here we are. So after 6 years, 5 months & 5 days, or 2349 days he FINALLY asked! On August 30, 2025 we will continue our journey as husband and wife.

Wedding Party

Brandi Russell

Maid of Honor

Brandi is one of Mckinzie’s older sisters. Brandi is someone who Mckinzie looks up to in so many ways. She is always there to give advice, listen, and help with anything. Mckinzie and Brandi spend a lot of their time working the coffee stand, going to concerts, and just spending quality time together.

Alora Werlech

Matron of Honor

Alora grew up very close with KcJames. With their families camping, boating, riding four-wheelers around, they have a cousin like bond. Mckinzie and Alora have also been best friends since high school. She is a big reason why Kc and Mckinzie started dating. Along with being a best friend to both of us now, she is the god mother of Preslynn. She has always been our biggest supporter (except the 3 years Mckinzie and Alora were not friends.😂) but we are thrilled to have her be there on our wedding day!

Brittany Lutz

Bridesmaid

Brittany is Mckinzie’s oldest sister. Growing up Mckinzie would always try and follow Brittany around to be just like her. Brittany is the voice of reason for Mckinzie. Now that they have kids around the same age it’s so fun to watch the babies learn and play together.

Aubrey Quist

Bridesmaid

Aubrey and Mckinzie became friends in high school, quickly moving in to our house becoming a bonus sister. Driving to and from school together, hanging out every day, made us create a strong bond. Aubrey is always there to support and celebrate with us!

Harley Vanatta

Bridesmaid

Harley and mckinzie have been best friends since high school. They have been there for each others ups and downs that they have had in life. They are the kind of friends who don’t have to talk every day for them to know what’s going on in each others life. When they do get together it’s like they never missed a beat. Getting to see their kids playing together is one of the best times for Harley and Mckinzie.

Nikkia Sanislo

Bridesmaid

Nikkia is cousins with KcJames. When we got engaged we FaceTimed Nikkia, she was so excited and had tears of joy! Nikkia is someone who is always happy to spend her days or nights hanging out with us no matter if we are camping, playing board games, riding dirt bikes, or going paint balling in their back yard. KcJames and Mckinzie were part of Nikkia and John’s wedding day, and we are so excited they will be apart of our day!
