McKell and Theron's journey started during the pandemic, on Microsoft Teams, at a Diversity Equity and Inclusion meeting at their former work place. If you know McKell and Theron, this is no surprise. They worked together, but this was the first time they crossed paths. How funny it is how life happens: you meet someone at a work DEI meeting and later on you find out you are spending the rest of your life with them. Anyhow, McKell and Theron were both navigating the trials and tribulations of the Pandemic at this time. McKell was at home, working on her masters degree in social work while sustaining a full time job. Theron was working full time while trying to stay active in his free time. McKell and Theron's job duties overlapped at times, granting McKell and Theron to get to know each other, little by little. McKell would say something flattering & empathetic, while Theron would giggle but also log it in his brain how precious and kind this person was. One day, Theron had a bold idea: Add McKell on Instagram. He figured McKell was a person worth knowing inside and outside of work from the passing conversations they had. Thankfully, McKell accepted. Time passed slowly, as McKell and Theron were both focusing on their education and careers. Then, out of the blue one day, Theron received a direct message from McKell which simply said "So is this just a friends thing or are we going to hang out?" Stopped in his tracks, Theron willfully replied, "haha yeah let's hang out." The next evening, they were at Hopkins Brewery, sharing life happenings, their history and goals. As with every romantic journey, there were some trials to overcome. McKell and Theron were struck with some tribulations outside of themselves. While still falling secretly for one another, they drifted away for a couple of months due to untimely circumstances. Thankfully, in March of 2022, McKell and Theron rekindled their interest for each other and their relationship took off like a rocket ship headed for the end of infinity and beyond. Theron, a dog guy, fell in love with McKell's two cats, Jinju and Minerva patisserie. A mother and daughter feline pair, they soon became an extension of Theron's love for McKell. In September 20th, 2022 McKell and Theron decided to move in together. They shared a 700 square foot apartment in the heart of the Sugarhouse neighborhood in Salt Lake City, Utah. Not only did they learn how to live together, but they learned how to love each other. It was clear moving forward that they bring out the best in each other. McKell, a kind soft spoken big hearted person paired with Theron, a loud, outgoing, excited-about-every-little-positive-thing type of person. The yin to the others yang, these qualities proved to be the positive and healthy foundation establishing their love. After 2 or 3 re-signed leases later, Theron asked McKell, "So do you see us getting married and having kids?" McKell replied with "Yeah, of course." This simple reply gave Theron all the juice he needed to call upon his family, and their history of Jewelers, to find and forge a ring to ask McKell to marry him. Finally, on McKell's 30th Birthday Theron took McKell and her parents out to dinner. Theron, through tears, asked McKell's parents for her hand in marriage. Even more tears followed and Alesha said yes with Chris soon following. McKell and Theron, relieved with joy of moving forward with their marriage, drove back home to their little apartment in Sugarhouse. Filled with excitement, Theron walked in the door, put on Carlos Santana's "Abraxas" on his turntable, got down on one knee and asked McKell to marry him. While Theron was kneeling in the living room/kitchen of their apartment, McKell joyfully said yes. Through tears, they slow danced to Santana's "Samba Pa Ti." McKell and Theron cordially invite you to the next part of their journey, as they willfully step forward, hand in hand, into the next chapter of their lives.

Whether you are a part of the church or not, the Salt Lake City Temple is a sight to see. With buildings aged over 100+ years, it is a landmark of the Salt Lake community. Take a quick walk through the temple square on your way to City Creek shopping!
When in a bind and uncertain of where to have a meal, McKell and Theron would always agree on Wasatch Brewery! Located in the heart of Sugarhouse, it is a very laid back establishment to enjoy a brew or a meal. McKell & Theron recommend their fried pickles and Jalapeño Mac and Cheese!
A delicious Italian deli, McKell and Theron often would split an enormous Italian breakfast sandwich or an Italian sandwich for lunch. We recommend the Papa Grande for Breakfast and the Caputo for Lunch!
