Our story began 10 years ago, celebrating Halloween with our friends. Susan dressed as a cheetah; Marcus dressed as a police officer. Although hesitant to meet in the first interaction, by the end of the night the police officer had hand-cuffed the cheetah and hasn’t let her go ever since. From there we started our journey as friends and got to know each other. We quickly realized we shared many of the same interests in music, dancing, traveling and getting an education. Some even say all we do is take trips and get degrees. As our friendship grew, the love we share for one another also grew. When we made the decision to be exclusive and committed to one another, we vowed to keep our friendship as the foundation of our relationship and that is what has gotten us here to this space. Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
