Matt and I met playing volleyball at our young adults group on a Sunday night. He slid into my DMs the next week (about the weather for Boston marathon) and from there on we talked… talked some more.. and talked long distance while he worked in Alaska. We spent day and night constantly calling and texting and when he finally came home from Alaska on July 11th, we went on our first date! The next day he asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history.
