Marissa and I "met" outside of the Willis Library at UNT. I say "met" because we also both went to Lewisville High School, and we both, infamously, had crushes on each other. I flagged her down and invited her to a show my band was playing that weekend. Despite the invitation to what I thought was The Coolest Thing Ever, Marissa actually didn't show up. It was the first of a few false starts for us, but in the winter of 2014, we earnestly dove headfirst into a relationship, right as she was about to be out of state for nine months. It was a strange, challenging but fitting start for our story, as we both showed how much we actually, truly, wanted to be with each other despite the distance. I'm grateful to say that throughout the ten years that we've been together, ten years of cat cuddles, amazing and not so amazing home cooked meals, covering my eyes during horror movies, and thousands of impromptu bouts of Marissa breaking out into a song that has never existed before, we've never stopped wanting to be with each other. We've both known, for a long time, that was something that was never going to change, and we're so excited to begin the rest of our story this coming March. We hope that you can join us.

Where is the ceremony and reception?

The ceremony and reception will be held at the same location, the Monroe Pearson, off the Square in Denton, Texas. We were really focused on finding a venue that would be easy for our guests to access (with lodging just a miles away!), and it's even better that it is in the town where we fell in love!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes! There is ample parking at our venue, but please plan to uber/lyft or have a designated driver if you plan on drinking.

Yes! We are so excited to welcome all of your little ones to our wedding <3 We also want you to have a great time, so we totally understand if you decide to have a fun night to yourselves! If you do decide to bring your children, we ask that you are mindful of a few things: -Please be sure your children are supervised by at all times. -The wedding ceremony and reception will be recorded and the videographer has requested that parents of young children be mindful of noise interruptions for the sound quality of the video. -Please step out with your child if they need a break during the ceremony. -Please note that the reception will have an open bar.

Of course! There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception. If you would like to tip our wonderful bartenders, there will be a tip jar at the bar.
