Once upon a time, in the borderlands of Lörrach and Basel, our story began. Marylyn, new to Lörrach, and Maxime, settled in Basel, found a serendipitous connection through a simple swipe on Tinder on February 26, 2018. Both navigating life in this new region, we found solace and joy in each other's company. Despite the distance, every spare moment was spent together, weaving memories that became the foundation of our love story. On June 17, 2022, our journey took a significant turn as we embraced our commitment with an engagement. Shortly after, amidst cultural celebrations, we honored tradition with a heartfelt Zimbabwean Marooro/Lobola ceremony on June 25, 2022. Yet, our path wasn't without challenges. The global pandemic enforced separation, closing borders and testing our resilience. Despite the trials, our bond remained steadfast, proving that love conquers all. Now, as we stand on the brink of our union, we invite you to join us on September 28, 2024, as we exchange vows and embark on a new chapter together.
