"What size are your gauges?" For Jon and Mary, that simple inquiry sparked a connection that would change their lives. Jon and Mary had been navigating through a chapter of singlehood, enduring lackluster dates and disappointing encounters. But fate had a different plan for them. It was the holiday season of 2018 when they first struck up a conversation. Jon, intrigued by Mary's Hinge profile, couldn't resist asking about her gauges. To him, this would confirm if Mary is still embracing her inner emo, something he made sure to keep intact within himself. Little did he know, that question would lead to weeks of engaging conversations. The new year brought their first date when Jon introduced Mary to Trillium Brewery, where they bonded over craft beers and stories of things that led them to that very moment. In return, Mary took Jon to a cherished spot, an integral part of her upbringing—the Wegmans deli—this was her way of telling Jon a 2nd date is in order. As their relationship blossomed, so did the world's challenges. COVID-19 began to spread, prompting lockdowns and uncertainty. What started as casual dating quickly evolved into something deeper as Jon and Mary found comfort and solace in each other's company during those uncertain times. They became pandemic partners, navigating the challenges of isolation together. On the brightside, this only accelerated and strengthened their bond. Fast forward through years of adventures, challenges (mostly around heated Magic The Gathering matches), and triumphs celebrated together - like adding Evie to their family unit, Jon knew it was time to take the next step. On the anniversary of their first date, Jon brought Mary back to Trillium. Jon got down on one knee and asked Mary to spend the rest of her life with him. If you're reading this, you probably know she of course said "Yes!" And as they stood together, Jon and Mary knew that their story—beginning with a simple question about gauges—was only just beginning.
