What airport should I fly into?

Answer

San Juan international (SJU) is the largest airport but is about 2.5 hours from the Airbnb. There are two closer airports called Aquadilla (BQN) which is about 40 minutes away and Mayaguez Airport (MZA) which is about 20 minutes away. There are cheap flights from SJU to BQN or MZA if you do not want to drive.

How do I get to the Airbnb?

The place is 2.5 hours from SJU, there are several options to get there: - Rent a car and carpool- cheapest option. ($40-50 per day) - Private transportation from the Airbnb- more information to come on that, will update here - Fly from SJU to BXN or MAZ and then uber from that closer distance. - Rent a car at SJU and drop it off at BXN or MAZ and then uber, reverse for the way back. - Rent private transportation (best for groups). - Take the bus line Linea Sultana which can take you to Mayaguez and then uber 20 minutes to the place. Must call (787) 765-9377 for current bus schedule, no set schedule. Cost $35 - Uber- most expensive option but carpooling brings the price down. You may send us your flight information and we will try to match flight times and create carpool groups.

Should I rent a car? Parking?

There are 15 parking spots at the Airbnb. I strongly recommend booking a rental car if you want to explore other areas of the island. If you are renting a car, please inform us ASAP so we can make sure we do not exceed the 15 parking spots. Carpool if you can.

Do I need to bring a wedding gift to a destination wedding?

Please don't! Taking the time and traveling to be here with us is the gift. If you still want to get something, please provide something to share for the Airbnb. This can be pool toys, wedding swag, fun decor, food or drink items, etc.

Which Villa will I be in?

Answer

Please text Cody or MK and we will share which exact Villa you will be in. There are 4 Villas in total . Each Villa is 2 stories and has a living room and kitchen provided on each story.

Do I need to be at the Airbnb all weekend?

Answer

No, the only day we need you is Saturday for the wedding. You may come and go as you please on the other days. On Saturday, you may go to your villa as needed throughout the wedding day!

Whats for lunch?

Lunch will be catered by Sazon n Tre 2 (@sazonntre2) and will be traditional Puerto Rican food on a buffet. You can expect spit fire pork and chicken as well as vegetarian options, various sides and apps.

Will there be alcohol provided?

Answer

Yes, we will provide beer, seltzers, wine, and bubbles for the wedding day. The catering company will be providing sangria and pina coladas. Please feel free to bring any liquor or mixers that you prefer.

Do I need to tell someone about dietary restrictions?

Please contact MK about dietary restrictions. We will already be accommodating gluten free and vegetarian diets but if you have additional restrictions please let us know.

Is there anything going on Friday or Sunday?

Answer

Friday: There will be a few things for Cody and MK to do to prepare for Saturday and MK will have to be up early for hair/make up so plan is to hang out at the bnb while getting ready for Sat, enjoy sunset, and pick up take out from somewhere close by. There are various food places walkable. There will be a rehearsal at the bnb at 7pm and you will receive a text if you need to be present for that. Sunday: Casual beach day at a local beach (thinking Playa Dona Lala or Sandy beach). For Friday and Sunday plans: You are not obligated to join but can if you wish.
