I caught his eye as he scrolled through Hinge! The photo? Me posing in front of a Rock at the Garden of the God's in Colorado Springs. This man thought to himself " She's cute and she likes to hike! YES" ... well little did he know I would soon tell him this girl isn't a hiker! haha We matched on Hinge, began to text and that led to many phone calls. We would laugh and talk weekly, catch each other up on our days until we finally planned a date to meet in the middle ;) Garrett will love to share that story! We met at Anaheim Packing District. We each had a bite of our grilled cheese, sipped on our drinks and talked from 6pm-12am. We talked about going and seeing the Bio luminescence in the ocean and we decided since it was midnight we would head home. We both got home and messaged each other... "do you want to go see it?" YES! Garrett picked me up and we went off the beach. We did not see any of the pretty blue lights in the water but we did sit and talk on the sand till 4am! Garrett and I continued to date and made it official on New Years Day! I had bought Disneyland tickets for my best friend, her husband Matt and Garrett for Christmas gifts and sadly Katie and Matt were sick and couldn't make it. Garrett and I still went to celebrate the New Year and little did I know that Garrett would ask me that night in the parking lot of Disney.. yes.. the parking lot. He was so nervous to ask me and missed out doing it during the firework show with the "snow" bubbles for Christmas that as soon as we got to the car he said quickly "will you be my girlfriend?" with a joyful laugh I said Yes. Fast forward 2 years of a lot of sweet moments, fun dates, flowers every other Monday and multiple country concerts. Garrett planned for a couple months a beautiful engagement. My mom and him shopped, designed and laid out how the scene would look. They spent hours on preparing it to be an amazing set up and it was SOO beautiful. December 2nd, 2023 Garrett asked me to be his wife.. I said YES! Here we are now. We can't wait to say " I Do" and we can't wait to have y'all there.
