Pod 51

Pod 51 has very small rooms with only a bed and tiny (but full!) bathroom. It is an extreme budget option but it is clean, safe, and walkable to the Tram to Roosevelt Island. Perfect for single travelers who don't need much space, just a place to sleep.

John F. Kennedy Airport

With all NYC airports: DO NOT GET IN AN UNMARKED TAXI OR CAR. Obtain a cab or rideshare from the designated pick-up area. JFK has an AirTrain that connects to the subway's A Train and LIRR's Jamaica station.

LaGuardia Airport

With all NYC airports: DO NOT GET IN AN UNMARKED TAXI OR CAR. Obtain a cab or rideshare from the proper pick-up area. LGA doesn't have a subway connection but the Q70 bus is free between the airport and the E/F/M/R/7 subway station in Jackson Heights Queens.

Newark Airport

Note: Newark is in New Jersey and can be more expensive of an uber/lyft compared to JFK and LGA. It is recommended to ride NWK's AirTrain and NJ Transit into NYC Penn Station, if comfortable on public transportation.

Travel Note

Rental Car?

It isn't recommended to rent a car if you are staying in Manhattan as there are very few available parking spaces at a steep cost.
