Wine country has beautiful AirBnbs & VRBOs. These are fun options if you plan to stay with family or friends. Sonoma and Glen Ellen are a short drive away and have accessible options for most travellers. For hotels, we like the Inn on Pine in Calistoga. If you'd like something special, consider the Rancho Caymus Inn, Harvest Inn or Silverado Resort. The Harvest Inn is right across the street from V. Sattui. https://www.theinnonpine.com https://www.ranchocaymusinn.com https://www.harvestinn.com https://www.silveradoresort.com
Cocktail attire please. Ladies have the option of a short or long cocktail dress, jumpsuits or other tailored separates. For gentleman, a suit or sport coat +/- tie with patterned or solid dress shirt are typical. The festivities will be outside at a working vineyard and we expect it will be hot, so we encourage you to wear something comfortable (i.e. ties are not required). The ceremony will also be on a grass lawn so be sure you have suitable footwear (i.e. please don't feel obligated to wear stilettos!).
We are excited to share a menu highlighting Italian cuisine catered by Michelin-star Chef Stefano Masanti and his staff. His wife, Rafaella, is our sommelier for the evening! All wine offered has been hand selected by Matt and Charlotte so we hope you enjoy! After the ceremony, guests will be able to enjoy wine & beer in the courtyard along with the following passed h'or doeuvres. Dinner will be a two course meal consisting of paccheri pasta al dente for the first course followed by your selection of beef strip loin, branzino, or vegetarian entree. Accommodations will be made for our guests with gluten and dairy allergies. You can indicate your dinner selection and allergies if you have any in your R.S.V.P.
We want to make sure all our guests feel comfortable enjoying a glass of V. Sattui's fabulous wines while making sure everyone also gets home safely! If you plan to enjoy a glass (or three) of wine, please be aware that it will be difficult to get an Uber/Lyft after the wedding due to city ordinances. To ensure all of our guests are able to celebrate safely, we are offering a complimentary shuttle service to and from the venue with pick-up & drop off at select locations. Please contact us if you would like more information on the shuttle service. Additionally, you are welcome to leave vehicles at the venue overnight if necessary without risk of tickets or towing!
The wedding will be an intimate celebration with our closest family & friends. Invites are limited to those named on the invitation only.
We adore your children but the wedding weekend is an adults-only affair.
As adults in our 30s we already have a lot of stuff. We would however love a house to put that stuff in. We'd appreciate a donation either to our honeymoon or house fund. For those inclined, a donation to the Retired Racehorse Project in our names would be fun. Links to these avenues will be available in due course.
Napa is all about good food, excellent wine, and relaxing in serene venues with gorgeous views. If none of that appeals to you, we might have questions. To be honest, you won't go wrong with any restaurant or winery you want to visit. That said, you can check out our "Weekend in Wine Country" selection below for a few of our favorite spots!

A favorite of the locals in Napa serving all manner of American fare with a menu that changes nightly. A must visit for anyone on their first trip to Napa!
Matt's personal favorite spot in the valley. Produces some of the best sparkling wine in the valley and offers a full tour of their facilities (spoiler alert: it's in a cave!). If you need an endorsement on their products: We celebrated with a bottle of Schrams the day we got engaged!
The quintessential Napa winery. Here's a summary of what they are known for: Cabs on cabs on cabs on cabs (it's also the only varietal they produce). If you like cabernet sauvignon, stopping by Silver Oak for a tour or just a glass and enjoying their GORGEOUS grounds is an absolute must.
Here's a summary of the wines they do well: literally everything. They are most well known for their chardonnay, which is considered a hallmark California chardonnay. However, we're a big fan of their cab too! Their scenic grounds (and cave!) overlooking the valley are a sight to behold. This is a great spot for a reasonably priced tasting tour of some of the best wine you can find in the valley.
Arguably the most gorgeous grounds of any winery in the valley (except our venue of course!). Nestled right in the heart of the valley next door to V. Sattui. Peju is a perfect spot for a reasonably priced tasting and gorgeous grounds! We're fans of their sauvignon blanc and 50/50 red blend
