Our story began on one fateful April Fool's day back in 2023. A girl named Mira was scrolling on a dating app called Hinge while on a lovely dinner date with her good friend Jojo when she stumbled upon this guy. Initially she didn't want to reach out because she was afraid that despite being cute he might not like her back. However Jojo convinced her otherwise. Also, he had a bearded lizard, and so she swiped. Enter, a boy named Mark who was sitting at home twiddling his thumbs after work who felt his phone buzz and had a look. It was a picture of a moody, tropical island girl in sunny paradise. Jackpot. He swiped back. Her first message was, 'Omg do you own a bearded lizard???' He said, 'No.' She was catfished. He seemed nice though so she gave him a chance anyway. They hit it off after discovering a shared interest in movies, music, video games and food, and the rest was history. Mark and Mira have now been together for 3 years, visited each other's countries, gone on many travels together, and have been living together for 2 years. They have finally decided to get married and be each other's April fool for life.
