This is the precise moment the couple became engaged. Jakob had previously asked Mariyah on a date to walk through the park. During their walk, he led her to the pictured Japanese Gazebo. In it laid rose petals on the floor, and a box of Mariyah’s Favorite candies, chocolates, strawberries, and a pair of the very Emo knee high converse she’s been wanting since she was six years old! WHAT A SPECIAL MOMENT. The future groom was so nervous during the time he had asked his future fiancée to close her eyes, and when she opened them she saw what she describes as, “the most beautiful ring ever picked out.” And heard the long awaited question.
First time meeting
Jakob and Mariyah met on August 11, 2019. Many may remember this being when Phoenix, Arizona was hosting an international convention. That Sunday night, the now couple met in a swimming pool where Mariyah eagerly looked for people around her age to play games with. There splashed Jakob, his brothers, and a friend they were visiting at the hotel. Mariyah asked to join the group, and began hanging out with them. Jakob however kept his distance. When Mariyah noticed this she asked, “Did you want to join us this round?” To which he said, “no.” And swam away. Little did he know what awaited him. ♡

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
The couple will not be able to take requests. Sandwiches, shrimp cocktails, and fruit platters will be provided.

Can we attend the zoom if we can’t make it in person?
Answer

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
No later than May 20th. Households who don’t RSVP will be marked as not coming.
Question
We actually are able to make it, can we still come?
Answer
After May 20th, Households who rsvp’d as “not coming” will not be able to change it. The final venue payment is May 21st, which is why the couple need a final head count by the 20th.
Question
I received a “save the date” do I still rsvp?
Answer
Households that received only Save the dates are invited to view the wedding over zoom due to to the limited Venue space.
